So I approached this very popular designer here on X—at a physical event.
We shook hands, I introduced myself and we chatted for a bit.
After everything, he offered to follow me on X (more like a favor).
Next thing I heard was “ohh, seems I’ve blocked you already”
I know he can see this cos he unblocked me eventually 😆

I was so embarrassed this morning 😫😫😫 So this guy and I have been cool for almost six months now. We usually link up at the barbershop or car wash, just normal vibes. Today, we got talking about Twitter, and he mentioned he’s on there too. just observes, doesn’t really tweet. We’re like, “Alright, let’s follow each other.” Only to find out… we’ve actually blocked each other 😂😂😂 We went completely quiet for like a minute… then both of us just burst out laughing. Till now, I’m still wondering what even led to that in the first place cus the handle looks stage to me🤔

What does them being based in India have to do with any of this?
Just critique the logo.
Pointing to someone’s location just makes a lot of good designers from other countries feel like they’re being treated as less trustworthy or somehow lesser by default, and that's not ok.

@watermelonshHQ Earn trust before you ask for it. I love tons of Indian designers- but nobody likes fraud. My suggestion is to be authentic first

Been off Design Twitter for 5 months… just locked in and working.
Here’s what went down:
• Hit $25K on Contra
• Got the opportunity to work with Framer
• Shipped 2 major projects and other minor projects
• Collaborated with amazing talent at @kargulstudio
• Made great friends like @danieldesignzz while building
• Moved to a new city + got my own apartment
And a lot more behind the scenes.
