It was trying to make cheap kids action shows using pre-existing content in order to license to Saturday morning cartoon blocks. Europe has been doing it for years before 4Kids

In fact, camera film and cassettes are on the shelf at Walgreens. The other things on Amazon are brand new. I checked, thinking that it would be NOS. But it's still in production, just at low volume apparently due to shrinking demand. The only thing I didn't find new were CRT televisions. There are many of those used on E-Bay and Etsy though, so you're right on that one.
