The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is blasting Santa Clara County’s sanctuary policies after a young mother was allegedly slain by two undocumented immigrants in Sunnyvale. Kembery Chirinos Flores, 24, of Mountain View, was shot to death on January 7. "She was a loving mother of a five-year-old son," the Sunnyvale Police Chief said. Leading up to the homicide, one of the accused killers was wanted by ICE agents, but he was back on the streets because he was released from a county jail, according to DHS. The two men accused of killing Flores are Honduran nationals who lived in Sunnyvale and Hollister, despite prior deportations, DHS said.
