At the Salmond enquiry Ms S said she “could not remember”, “was not sure” and “need to check that”. It appears clear she has lied and misled parliament, but she has lied and misled parliament and voters all through her career. She was willing to lie again to save her skin.

I seem to be having a fun few days of public confrontation which no doubt someone will accuse me of making up. But in cafe two young women decked out in rainbows and dyed hair stood up to leave and informed me they overheard my conversation and LGB Alliance are a transphobic organisation. I asked why she thinks that? She said they’re trying to take away trans rights. I asked her to name an example of just one trans right they were taking away. And they both blustered and I asked again and they stormed off. I might stay at home for a few days.

I am deeply alarmed that British military bases will be used in Trump's bombing of Iran - these attacks violate international law. The UK government should be focused on de-escalation, diplomacy and a ceasefire - that's the best way of keeping people safe, not following Trump.

The attacks on Iran by Israel and the United States are illegal, unprovoked and unjustifiable. Peace and diplomacy was possible. Instead, Israel and the United States chose war. This is the behaviour of rogue states — and they have jeopardised the safety of humankind around the world with this catastrophic act of aggression. Our government must condemn this flagrant breach of international law, and urgently pursue a foreign policy based on justice, sovereignty and peace.
