all the mimetic pull in the US is to expensive cities in the US. everything is pulling toward more work, more busyness, less family time, and more anxiety if I'm going to find a home base in the US I think I need to swim against this current. time to go anti-mimetic

@jlongster Same with JetBrains IDEs. They always want something for you. I call it “needy software”. When I open IDE, I don’t want to do what IDE needs. I want IDE to do what I need. I want to be in charge. God bless Sublime

@hikari_no_yume Prices at Five Guys basically doubled at the start of covid. I went in and thought they had rang up some family's order instead of mine but nope.

american friends, is five guys like a normally priced chain in the us because every time i've seen it in europe it's cost literally twice as much as normal fast food and the walls are plastered with american testimonials to convince you that €25 is worth it for the luxury
