@hxxntrr I'm an Amex Platinum @prioritypasscom member currently in LAS, waiting in a 30-45 minute queue for the lounge. Was the same at the @AmericanExpress Centurion Lounge at LHR on the way out. I either won't get in or will have 5 mins in there at best. It's becoming useless.

Worst they say is no METHOD 2: The guest trick Find someone entering the lounge with premium status. Offer them $30 to add you as their guest. Most Platinum/Gold members get 2 free guests and never use them They pocket cash. You get in. Everyone wins METHOD 3: Check your cards Capital One Venture X comes with Priority Pass (free). Amex Green gives you one Centurion visit per year. Most people have lounge access they don't know about Download LoungeBuddy app - shows which lounges you can access with your specific cards METHOD 4: The credit card hack Get any card with Priority Pass. That's 1,300+ lounges worldwide. Free food and drinks every flight You're already at the airport. The lounge is right there. Only thing stopping you is not knowing you can walk in Stop paying $23 for a soggy turkey wrap when there's a free buffet behind a door you're allowed to open

@holly Also a very poor financial decision. £500k house mortgaged with £125k deposit = ~£2k/month repayment assuming 4% interest. Put the other £375k in an S&P 500 index fund and earn ~£3,200 a month. More than enough to pay the mortgage and have plenty left over.

Watching new Grand Designs & my god does it chap my nips when people cast paying cash as moral superiority. "I don't owe anyone any money & I don't want to!" - oh right yeah everyone else loves it, we just choose not to use the £550k cash sitting in OUR bank accounts for fun. Dear lord!
