The crazy part isn't that a judge issued a gag order against a leading presidential candidate. The crazy part is that a leading presidential candidate made a habit of threatening&attacking witnesses, prosecutors, and court officials. Trump's gag order hearing is going badly for him. His attorneys are obnoxious in court. They keep talking a/b the "campaign" to shield Trump or delay his trial. That argument is going nowhere. Trump will get hit w/ big restrictions that are appropriate for his criminal status and stoking violence. Her multiple choice question to the prosecutors was awesome: Judge Chutkan: "Say I enter this order and Mr. Trump violates restrictions, what happens next? Revocation of supervised release? Home detention? Contempt?" The prosecution said all are available, while Trump's attorneys said it's "Impossible." The message is, Trump is a criminal defendant first. His absurd "campaign" is not a factor.
