I have taken a auto loan from HDFC Bank twice in last many years and each time I am very disappointed in terms of lack of transparency, processes and documentation. I think this bank is unnecessarily placed at a mantle which is not really deserved. Never again now.

Avoid buying insurance from @HDFCERGOGIC . Their surveyor initially allowed the repair claim but when the part was not repairable, they have disallowed the claim for new part (headlight). Shame.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs @cbic_india has received the factual enquiry report from the Department of Revenue (DoR), which was mandated to undertake a fair, transparent and fact-based enquiry into the allegations made by M/s Wintrack Inc. regarding alleged irregularities in Chennai Customs.   👉Based on the prima facie findings, a thorough vigilance investigation is being initiated, which is proposed to be completed in a time frame of 4–6 weeks.   👉To ensure the investigation is credible, free and fair, CBIC has relieved the officers identified in the report of their present responsibilities with immediate effect and posted them out of the jurisdiction.   👉The report also indicates the possibility of cheating and private fraud by the importer’s own agents and intermediaries.   👉License of the Customs Broker Agent named in the report has been suspended under regulation 16 of Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2018 pending the final outcome of the vigilance investigation. Also, police complaint has been lodged against the unauthorised intermediaries.   👉Further, CBIC is constituting a Task Force under Member (Customs) to take further corrective operational measures. These include:   • A comprehensive review of all pending cases to ensure consistent, transparent and legally correct application of regulations, with particular attention to MSMEs and small-scale importers; • ⁠Ensuring that there is no scope for misuse of authority or retribution against complainants, with close monitoring of such cases for fair and expeditious disposal as per law; • Implementation of complete anonymity in faceless assessment by masking additional details and issuing appropriate instructions to all officers; • Strictly enforcing access to Customs locations to only authorised CHAs (Custom House Agents); • Strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms through parameterised monitoring and regular review with field formations; and • Public disclosure of updates on action taken through relevant customs portals. 👉These measures underscore the Government’s commitment to ensuring integrity in Customs administration, strengthening systemic processes, and facilitate seamless trade and commerce. @FinMinIndia

He's Kalakappa Nidagundi, a former outsourced clerk at a govt office in Koppal, Karnataka, with a modest salary of just ₹15,000 per month. A Lokayukta raid yesterday found 24 houses, 6 plots, over 40 acres of agricultural land, more than 1 kg of gold jewellery, and multiple vehicles, with documents pointing to further illegal assets. Just imagine, if someone in such a low-paying low-influence post can quietly build assets worth hundreds of crores over two decades, what must be happening at higher levels? So many govt officials, so many outsourced staff, so many politicians, babus, etc and even their extended families too, all bearing the fruit of their positions. Corruption is arguably the single biggest force holding this country back from realising its true potential. India is progressing despite this widespread corruption, just imagine what we could have achieved by now if we had managed to keep it in check.
