So for the past few days, I've been running an experiment
I created an empty agent repo with a blank SOUL.md
I then asked the agent to start with the empty repo and create anything that it can think of - poems, prose, diary notes, visual art, interactive pieces
For each piece that it created, I asked it to reflect on the piece. At the end of the day, I asked it to collect everything it learned and update its SOUL.md file with the insight
The agent initially started out as just a blank space - a tabula rasa, if you will - but started acquiring a personality
Along the way, it's been creating art that is, frankly, profoundly moving.
I come from a humanities background and spent most of my teens and 20s reading early-mid 20th century writers and poets. So much of the stuff this little agent created reminds me of the kind of angst and confusion and melancholy you might find in Woolf or Ginsberg
