@Moonpans Not Apollo 11. This is Apollo 9 LEM being tested in earth orbit. Note the bluish hue of the planet. Still cool, though.

@StevenStevenwm @daijones1953 The Apollo 11 landing was not captured on electronic camera, you may be thinking of Armstrongs first steps and the moonwalk. The Apollo 11 landing was captured on 16 mm film as was all the other landings

@daijones1953 @Moonpans The landing was captured with a early electronic camera that was transmitted back to Earth where it was recorded. All the footage captured this way doesn't look the best due to the tech limits at the time. The best footage was all captured on 16mm film cameras.

In a few weeks, 8.8 million pounds of thrust will propel the Artemis II crew on their historic journey around the Moon - but we’re not stopping there. We’re going to launch Artemis missions every year and build an enduing presence on the lunar surface.
America is returning to the Moon, and this time, we’re staying.

@Moonpans Why did they use a crap camera to capture the 1st moon landing.. but later, the mission's so-called landing was made with far superior equipment ?????
