@youngwt @Astrophizz @SMetaldave64 Refresh rate is not determined by power, though it’s true that PAL and NTSC are 50 or 60hz respectively. However, CRTs are not limited by this - that’s just a TV standard. Monitors can go far beyond this.

Strange seeing DF nitpick about no 120Hz in Super Mario Bros Wonder when they've gone out of their way to praise how Retro games feel (DF Retro) on a 60Hz CRT. No mention of unput lag here either. Hard to nitpick Native 4K 60FPS, but yep, they found a way lol.

Now that Q1 is almost coming to a close, we are doing extensive testing and packaging for both #MiSTer and #Analogue platforms. To recap, this is what we were able to get through in Q1 at #CoinOpCollection: @_atrac17 started off with the Mr. Do! Platforms supporting all the games, then graduated to the DECO8 and DECO16 platforms. Although the DECO16 is not yet completed, it plays extremely well. There are some nuances to timing and customs on these platforms. I believe he even implemented some fixes that are not implemented in MAME/ FBN, nor are documented, and so we will commit work to those when he is finished there. @pr4m0d, myself, started off the Q1 with #Toaplan2 and some assistance on #Toaplan1. I added support for all V25 games with the cycle accurate xV25 core. I have covered every single Toaplan game at this point in my career. Originally, when I started making cores, I started with Batrider as my first ever core, and only intended to cover Batrider and Bakraid, then retire. Just kept going and going, and now I have covered every single game. Then, I moved to resurrect an old project started last January, Syvalion, on the #TaitoH platform. I created the LLE based x2610 core, and it works perfectly for the excellent stereo audio in the game by ZUNTATA. I also tuned trackball support for both #MiSTer and #Analogue. Finally, I added support in the Williams Unit (#Midway) for T Unit. I created the ADPCM Sound board for T Unit and have Judge Dredd, NBA JAM, NBA JAM TE and MK T Unit working properly on both #MiSTer and #Analogue. MKII Is working properly on both platforms, however, the DCS Sound board has more work to go before completion. #CoinOpCollection.

@hitmanmcc I'd recommend to get some options and then laser for the 1st stage. Line up your options to target the tip of the volcanoes. Then use double for the rest of the game :) The game is well worth spending an hour a day to keep on improving ! Take care

Starting the week with yet another game that kicks my ass. Gradius on the PC Engine. Using the TV to try and see if I get a better shot at this but, at the end of the day, I think it's really just a skill issue. 😄 #RETROGAMING #konami #gradius #pcengine

Raiden Fighters Collection should be out now on #NintendoSwitch Unfortunately, there seems to be an issue with it running about 10% too fast due to some cock up with the framerate in the port vs the originals. Hopefully can be fixed but a shame for a collection like this.
