This is what I’ve been working on behind the scenes since May. We are very close to having the drink mix in production. I cannot wait to share more with you and answer any questions along the way. For now, enjoy the logo @iamhaleyshane made. Thanks to everyone who has given me guidance on this journey. Especially those of you brave enough to sample the mystery powder I blended in my kitchen. I have found a bunch of amazing friends through this app, but nothing prepared me for the level of support you have all shown since I started this project. There are honestly too many people to list and I don’t want to forget anyone. Follow @GetTranquilitas for regular updates and ingredient info. I’ll be rolling that out along with more about the product and how it came to exist.

Drink Tranquilitas@GetTranquilitas

Tranquilitas is a powdered drink mix that will help you maintain emotional balance while remaining sharp and present. You want to experience a sense of calm without the compromises that alcohol or prescription drugs come with. We can help. Our ingredients are scientifically-backed and used in efficacious doses. We will not hide behind a “proprietary blend” and we will have third party testing for every batch. Full ingredient info will be revealed soon. We are finalizing our product packaging and gearing up for production. We look forward to sharing our story and products with you. Let’s get Tranquil AF.

@dpolehn I think most people need more endurance training than strength training. If we can agree you need 5 active days per week, 2 are lifting and 3 are dedicated cardio. With the understanding that you need at least 30 minutes of walking on rest or lifting days.

The average person should be doing some strength training and some endurance. Focus on one at the expense of the other is not a great strategy long term Health > Performance

@CoffeeBlackMD Meningitis scares me. Daughter ended up admitted for what turned out to be viral meningitis a few years ago. Was not fun waiting for the results on the spinal tap.

The vaccines for meningitis are good guys. I’m serious too. No conspiracy. No money making schemes. These vaccines are protein or polysaccharide based and target the mechanisms on the outside of the bacteria that make them pathogenic. There’s a baby in that bath water.

@CoffeeBlackMD What’s a general ratio you like to see for test:estradiol? I’ve not noticed a difference in how I feel with estradiol between 39-62, depending on how high test was. I know my ratio was pretty consistent at either end of the range.

At some point the real art in any testosterone (or anabolic protocol) will be correcting for the estradiol per the individual man. Estradiol is a Goldilocks phenomenon. The porridge can’t be too hot or too cold. I knew men who like and feel best at 80 and others who get watery and weepy at 80. Some guys 20. It takes TIME to figure this out. And can change depending on protocol and body comp. What is fine for you now, may not be in a few years. Using something like nandrolone or trenbolone? You need to push your estradiol lower to find your happy spot due to the progestin actions. Estradiol is the real magic molecule. Iykyk.
T Dog@ironnfox

I’m very sensitive to estradiol. High is subjective, low is more objective but ratios of T to e2 are probably more relevant for most guys. My experience with high e2 (60+) - more energy - mild anxiety - racing thoughts - restlessness - paranoia - severe anxiety - rapid heart rate - mania Low e2 (below 20) - low energy - low libido - general malaise - antisocial - anxiety - foggy/sad - depression Naturally my test was around 700-900 and my e2 was mid/high 20s Now, regardless of my test level, I do best with e2 between 30-40

@theryandreyer I took an hour off my road marathon by focusing on trails for a few years while ultra training. The increased weekly training time did most of the work, but running for 4 hours on trails is more interesting than grinding out 20 miles on the road.

Most marathon runners have never trained on a trail. They’re missing out. A friend of mine was deep in NYC marathon training. Every run rated “on pace” or “behind.” The pressure was killing his enjoyment. He assumed trails were for people in Colorado. Not Jersey guys training for road races. Then he found one 10 minutes from his house. No pace targets. No splits. Just dirt and climb. Most enjoyable run of his entire build. A few months later his 63 year old dad ran it with him. That’s a win no finish line can touch.

If you: >wake up >go straight to work (desk job) >go home/out to eat after work >sit on couch >go to sleep You are getting like <1000 steps a day. This isn’t to say track or obsess over step counts, I’m saying ur not moving enough for ur health nor to maintain a healthy weight (assuming u eat ~2k cals/day). You cannot live like this & expect to stay lean & healthy & sturdy. Humans need to move more than this.

@pushpullrun I don’t disagree most of the time text is way more efficient but just irks me when someone never picks up their phone to answer a call when it’s attached to their side and they are not busy

Remember back in the day people used to pick up their phone and actually answer the call? Now you have to text someone first to see if he or she is available before you call? Most people are too busy doomscrolling they don’t have time to answer their phones 😏 Sad we let technology guard our most important form of communication…human voice and face to face interaction Everything is text now. Not the way it should be… Younger generations are cooked

Tomorrow I finally find out if all the training paid off. My goal for this 100-miler is to finish in around 15–17 hours. Thank you all for your support and encouragement during this training block - it really means a lot. I hope to share good news with you all on Saturday. 🤝

Weighed in at 216.2lbs this morning. I'm fasting until dinner on Wednesdays and Fridays during Lent. So only a couple bowls of soup, some meat sticks and a spoon of peanut butter (not pictured 😱) today Feeling good!

@dpolehn Softball has been great for the oldest daughter. Especially the new (local-ish) travel team. We’ve had great luck with coaches.

@Michaelfiore @Brady_H For sure that’s the case with trail runners. You make great friends in the mid to back of the pack. Everyone knows it’s a dumb thing to do and jokes about how dumb it is while doing it.

@Brady_H Man, I ran my first half last year and I loved the encouragement from fellow runners and spectators. There was one spot with a switchback near the end and it was fun cheering each other on. Of course I was with the slow pokes at the back. Maybe slow runners have more fun.

Muscle is a longevity organ. It's not vanity. It regulates blood sugar, protects your joints, and keeps you independent as you age. That it can help you look better is just a pleasant side effect.
