BREAKING: The California Coastal Commission told a Dana Point couple they could rebuild their aging home — but only if they agreed to demolish it whenever the government says so. We filed suit to stop this unconstitutional shakedown.

Amazon has announced it will no longer sell e-bikes in California that exceed state speed limits, following a consumer alert issued by California Attorney General Rob Bonta last month. More than 100 deaths across the United States have resulted from e-bike and E-Motorcycle crashes and injuries have increased 430% in the last four years in Southern California. Bonta’s alert outlined guidelines for e-bike safety and speed, emphasizing that pedal-assisted e-bikes cannot exceed 28 miles per hour, while throttle-assisted e-bikes are limited to 20 miles per hour. He said e-bikes exceeding these speeds are classified as mopeds or motorcycles, requiring additional licensing and age restrictions. The Orange County District Attorney’s Office has filed manslaughter charges against an Aliso Viejo mother after her 14-year-old son hit and killed an 81-year-old man last month while the boy was riding an E-motorcycle she had been repeatedly warned was illegal for him to ride. And a 13-year-old boy died Friday after he crashed the illegal E-motorcycle he was riding in Garden Grove. A search on Amazon revealed numerous e-bikes advertised with speeds over 40 miles per hour. After being contacted by KCRA 3 Investigates about the listings, Amazon responded, stating it is now requiring all e-bikes sold by third-party sellers to comply with state laws, regulations, and Amazon policies. The company said it has removed the examples provided and is investigating compliance for similar products. Thank you @agrobbonta for helping to keep our kids safe!! kcra.com/article/amazon…

@JustineBateman True. He conducts BUSINESS in the City of Los Angeles. He could live in Santa Barbara / Montecito but a % of his income and prestige is tied to L.A.

Breaking Bad star Giancarlo Esposito says it's time for a "revolution," says some people would die, but "the rest of us" would survive. "They can't take us all down. If the whole world showed up... in Washington, they'll kill a 500, 50 million or however..." "But the rest of us would survive... This is the time for a revolution."

@JoshuaLisec Keeping an inherited home in the family is one thing. I’m widely known throughout the California legal community for favoring this. Creating immature trust fund babies who act entitled and are uneducated as to using their wealth for good is a failure.

California Governor candidate Chad Bianco vows to completely eliminate the income tax if he’s elected “I'm going to eliminate state income tax. We're not going to pay California state income tax anymore” He says just by cutting out Democrats secret deals with offshore oil companies, he can make up the revenue “We're the second largest consumer of oil in the country. 80% of the oil that we use, we buy from other countries and other states. When you do that, it's 5x more expensive than if we took it from our own ground. If we were oil independent, if we used 100% of the oil that we needed from California. That alone completely funds state government. Just that one move. Just that one move” Democrats have been pushing regulations to make it more expensive or impossible to drill in the state, this forces offshore buying They’re getting rich from doing this In 2024 alone, the oil and gas industry spent a record $38 million on lobbying in California Oil interests donated millions directly to candidates and committees. In recent cycles, Democrats received significant portions, sometimes more total than Republicans

@C_3C_3 We don’t know all the reasons why MJ needed to be vocal about endorsing the current LA mayor. Money? Projects? Obligation? An option would have been to remain silent. However, the optics don’t support his position.

It is time for the United States Postal Service to ban junk mail. Unsolicited spam calls are already prohibited by the FCC. Emails are heavily regulated by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. Junk mail is the majority of mail, 100 million trees per year. Enough!

@lordbuckly @JezziiB For over (70) years my cousins owned McCormick Ambulance which covered West L.A. County. You’ve seen them, My former wife’s family owned the ambulance service that covered the East side. They all sold and cashed out at the right time.

Mexico just announced they’ll provide free public healthcare to the entire 130 million population starting in 2027, regardless of employment. Meanwhile in the US, people are rationing insulin and going bankrupt over ambulance rides. The richest country on earth is a fucking scam.

@californiapost “Does a bear sh*t in the woods?” A new, $20,000,000 research study will attempt to answer that question for Sacramento policymakers desperate to know. (Just kidding. But it sounds plausible).

Kamala Harris goes off on Trump in word-salad rant | Ross O'Keefe, New York Post Kamala Harris needed her mouth washed out with soap after delivering a profane assessment of the war in Iran during an appearance in Las Vegas Thursday. In describing the ongoing conflict, the former vice president repeatedly trailed off before resorting to a curse word to rile the audience up. “When you look at this war in Iran, which the American people do not want, which was not authorized by … should not have been initiated … he talked about obliterating … it’s all just …,” Harris said before pausing as the audience egged her on. “Bulls—t!” she yelled out before cackling. “You made me do that! I promised I’m not going to curse in public anymore,” she added, before continuing her word-salad rant. “But what is happening though, is, is … we are not only losing our authority, we are literally engaged where we are talking billions of dollars,” Harris said. “Where we’re talking about gas prices going up, where we’re talking about the American people suffering. And for what? And that, and this is part of how we have to understand how the irresponsibility of this administration is profound.” Harris has been traveling the country to boost Democrats’ odds of recapturing the House and the Senate in the midterm elections. There has also been speculation that she’s preparing for a potential 2028 presidential run, after her catastrophic 2024 loss to Trump. A recent poll from the Center for American Political Studies and the Harris Poll showed her favored above Gov. Gavin Newsom as Democrats’ preferred nominee, 50% to 22%. Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro came in third place with 8%. Harris also recently endorsed Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass for re-election. “Mayor Karen Bass is the leader Los Angeles needs right now. She has done what so many said couldn’t be done — the first-ever two-year decline in homelessness, reducing crime to levels this city hasn’t seen since the 1960s, and refusing to back down when the federal government came after our neighbors,” she said in a statement. nypost.com/2026/05/08/us-…

“Bring your own toilet paper?” I guess I will be postponing my next visit to LA Hall of Justice.
Alex Villanueva@AlexVilanueva33

I left @LASDHQ with a surplus. Now Luna is telling deputies to bring their own toilet paper - and a hard freeze on overtime and vacancies. This isn't budgeting. This is incompetence. Don’t worry deputies help is on the way!  - AlexVillanueva2026.com

"Mike - You said on your podcast that you have "tens of thousands of unanswered emails." It’s not that I don’t believe you, but…really? Tens of thousands? How can you function knowing your inbox is that flooded? Aren’t you tortured by what might be in there? A job offer? A note from an old girlfriend? A letter from the IRS? The anxiety would kill me...Candice Ramon" Hi Candace, I've told you a million times I never exaggerate. Ha! See attached. PS. Personally, I find it harder to ignore an email once I’ve read it. That’s when it needs to filed, or replied to, or deleted. Easier to just let them pile up. There was a time when a few dozen unread emails kept me up at night, for all the reasons you mention, but then, when it became a few hundred unread emails, I started to realize I could never catch up. My email address isn’t hard to find, and being a public figure invites a lot of unsolicited queries. Also, my time is now a zero-sum game, so every moment spent reading an unsolicited email is a moment spent not doing something more important. (Like answering your question.) Several years ago, when I tried to explain this to Mary, my business partner, her left eye began to twitch. Mary had glanced down at my phone and noticed 1,100 unread emails. “Eleven hundred unread emails!! Are you kidding me??” “Yeah, it’s a lot,” I said. “More than I can handle.” Mary is a legendary multitasker. I’ve seen her read an email and send a text at the same time - often while drafting a contract and running a Zoom call during a lunch meeting. This is a talent I admire, and benefit from a great deal, but do not envy. “How can you possibly have eleven hundred unread emails?” she said, eyes bulging. “On your business account! What’s your Follow Up File look like?” “My Follow Up File? What’s a Follow Up file?” “What do you mean? How do you not know what a Follow Up file is?? It’s the most important file there is!!!” “Well,” I said, “if I don’t read my emails, there’s really nothing to follow up on, is there?” It was at this point Mary’s right eye began to twitch, so I quickly changed the subject, and got one of those privacy screens for my phone. From a business perspective, I understand her exasperation with me. There were probably some legitimate opportunities buried in those eleven hundred unread emails, along with some other interesting...offers. Today, with 39,218 unread emails, I suspect there’s even more. And by the end of this year, when I expect to cross the 50,000-threshold, (hey, it’s important to have goals!) I guess they’ll be more still. But again – in a zero-sum game, every new opportunity means that Mary has to walk something else behind the barn a shoot it. So, what’s the point? As for old girlfriends and the IRS, I suspect either will find me, if it’s really important. The bigger question, obviously, is what will happen to the rest of Mary's face if she sees this?
