Eriksen, Chadli and Lamela were hits I’ll defend it with my life.

This was how Tottenham spent the €101m received from the sale of Gareth Bale in 2013. All seven players were shit 😆
English

@AttackingFooty Thought for sure John Terry missed one too
Why did Carrick have to take his again?
English

@Stevenwblake1 I like this though I don’t think England will win because, well, England
Another major disappointment will almost surely be Argentina
English

#FifaWorldCup predictions
Champions: England
Runners up: Spain
Dark Horses :Norway/Japan
Underachievers: Portugal
Top Scorer: Haaland
-Hosts Canada and Mexico to make it to the last 16. USA out in round of 32
- Kane to overtake Lineker as England all time world cup scorer
English

@CoolHandJakeGS @NoContextEPL First knockout game will be indoors in Atlanta (if England win the group) or in Toronto (if they finish second)
If England finish third they’ll have bigger concerns anyway
English

@soccersource @NoContextEPL 1) It's productive training stimulus
2) Knockout games might be in hotter climates
English

Here’s what I don’t understand
England’s games are in:
Arlington, Tex (indoors)
Foxborough, Mass (climate comparable to Europe)
East Rutherford, NJ (5pm kickoff)
Why is Tuchel training the team in South Florida in the summer?
Are they training for guerilla warfare in Vietnam?
No Context World Cup@NoContextEPL
England players are said to be already struggling with the climate in Florida in their training sessions.🥵 Expecting the heat to be a huge topic of conversation among pundits and analysts throughout this World Cup.
English

@soccersource The equivalent of training at high altitudes just to play at sea level?
English

@soccersource Indoors? Why? Not an indoor sport.
English

@Brunoverfe45900 Think modern air conditioning is more effective than that
English

@soccersource Air conditioning only takes a temperature down 20 degrees Fahrenheit. So if it’s 110 out, you’re still looking at 90 degrees.
English

@BluesDan_ Yes you will be fine in all likelihood
I still don’t understand the need to train in South Florida, outdoors, in the summer when none of your scheduled games are anywhere nearby
English

@soccersource I’m aware, but bottom line is people seem to be throwing hissy fits and going crazy over 2 pictures of players who have clearly been training hard all day.
Like give it a fucking rest we’ll be fine
English

@ThomasF93619148 “England should easily get out of the groups”
We’ll see about that one
English

@soccersource Along with the northeast being much hotter than you think, england should easily get out the groups. they've then got knockout games in july to think about.
English

@andrew_english1 Mexico would also need to win an elimination round game, which hasn’t happened in 40 years
Also Mexico City climate is vastly different from South Florida
English

@soccersource If we win group and get to last 16 we play Mexico in the azteca (if they win group too)
English

@ThisLeadenPall If they win the group they’ll play in Atlanta, indoors
English

@soccersource He’s probably hoping England get past the group stage, you idiot.
English

@SoyKixx Their first knockout game will be in Atlanta (indoors) and Toronto (near the North Pole)
English

@soccersource Training and knockout rounds obviously. Need to be prepared for what may happen down the line
English

@soccersource Because we play New Zealand tomorrow in which state?
I’ll give you a hint it’s Florida.
English

@soccersource The high today in Miami is 82. The high in DC near me is 90 and it’s partly cloudy, the high in London is 65. The climate in this area is not at all comparable to the UK
English

@Stevinho21 Superdome maybe but I was just at loandepot in Coral Gables last night. Was a comfortable 65 inside. 90 outside
English

@soccersource And yet humidity gets inside because of how big they are. Don’t try to tell a New Orleanian that the Superdome feels like Sofi
English

@DW89301727 @usmnt_stats Okay but England aren’t playing in Miami
English

@usmnt_stats @soccersource We had Bills fans invoking OSHA when they came down and played in Miami early in the year. It is a well known home field advantage. Teams have tried coming early though and the Brits aren't going to acclimate in a couple weeks. More likely to get injured from cramping.
English

@CallumH9210 Everything has to do with me
You’re just along for the ride
English

@soccersource What the fuck, does it have to do with YOU? Shut up ya gimp and let them prepare and get behind em.
English

@Tinebobagain There’s a team called France and one or two of the players are white
English

@brian_callaci @bigpicsoccer That aside, England invented the term soccer
English

We Americans are totally correct on this point. "Football" has nothing to do with kicking. It refers to a wide family of commoner games played *on foot* as opposed to the games of the aristocracy, played on horseback. Soccer, short for "association football" is merely one of them
