Make the games 40 minutes. 8 x 82 / 48 =13.667 That’s the equivalent number of games you would reduce the schedule by. Without breaking arena leases. Works for college. Works for international. Works for the WNBA. AND. If you looking at tv and streaming ratings, the less the actual playing time for a televised game, the bigger the ratings. Ie, the less time fans have to focus on a game, the more they enjoy watching it on tv

This is such a dense take. Going to games≠real fandom. You do not know the location/financial situation of these people. And your voice/opinion shouldn’t be quantified by how many dollars you spend on a billion dollar franchise. These people are just as much of fans as you are. Just because they don’t have season tickets doesn’t mean your opinion should matter or be more relevant than theirs.

Honestly there are so many questions that the fans have involving Monumental Sports and it would be great to hear from Ted and/or Zach Leonsis on what exactly is going on regarding the Arena, the TV network, and the coverage of their teams. The lack of transparency is concerning.

@tomhaberstroh @DarthAmin Main point is. We can’t create a problem for a league already in trouble. Ending the draft, which is one of the most watched events in the league is bad business and bad for any team not in LA, NYC, or MIA. Let alone the super teams that would take over.
