it should be obvious by now: secrets are the main attack vector in an AI-driven world, and it will only get worse. it's time to upgrade web security by replacing API keys with signed requests. ERC-8128

Our investigation has revealed that the incident originated from a third-party AI tool with hundreds of users whose Google Workspace OAuth app was compromised. We recommend that Google Workspace Administrators check for usage of this app immediately. #indicators-of-compromise-iocs" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">vercel.com/kb/bulletin/ve…

🚨 BREAKING: The FBI has successfully extracted deleted Signal messages from a suspect's iPhone via notification storage, the place where all your notifications are stored for up to one month. Notification storage stores data from all messaging apps, it's a big flaw in iOS. But there's a way to turn it off...

using returndata as input in multi-step flows without the need for wrapper contracts is very desirable. so why not support it natively in frame transactions? for example by adding FRAMERETURNDATASIZE and FRAMERETURNDATACOPY, with a small per-byte retention fee and a cap per frame. @decentrek was this ever considered?

Ethereum's fragmentation problem just got its most serious answer yet. The Ethereum Economic Zone, led by Gnosis and ZisK, funded by the EF. The goal: SYNCHRONOUS composability for the L1 and its L2s, so one transaction can execute cleanly across multiple chains. > Right now your coins on L2s can't interact with contracts on L1 or other L2s without bridging. Costs money, costs time, fragments liquidity. The EEZ ends that > Rollups plugged into the EEZ can call contracts on L1 or other L2s and receive a response in a SINGLE transaction. It feels like you're using one chain > This doesn't require any Ethereum protocol-level changes. The entire system runs on smart contracts + real-time ZK proving > Gnosis isn't some unknown team. They built CoW Protocol, Safe multisigs, the Conditional Tokens format underpinning Polymarket, Gnosis Chain, Gnosis Pay. ZisK brings an efficient open-source zkVM for real-time proving > NO ONE owns the stack. The EF is funding this as credibly neutral shared infrastructure. Free and open source for all Imagine an Aave position on Ethereum interacting with a Uniswap pool on Unichain in a single transaction. That'd be beautiful. That's the EEZ.

While the debate rages on whether crypto solves real problems or stays stuck in speculation, BlockchainGov’s latest report offers concrete evidence of a better path. Today we release our latest report(!) Drawing from the Argentina Onchain Residency (Nov 1–14, 2025, San Martín de los Andes at @JoinEdgeCity), the report details a participatory methodology that: * Begins with concrete coordination failures identified by local public, private, and civil society actors. * Co-designs with non-crypto stakeholders to ensure solutions are practical and accessible. * Evaluates blockchain not as a silver bullet, but for real fit in context. Outcome: Adoption-ready prototypes that embed decentralization into organizations and institutions - directly addressing the UX, incentive, and accessibility barriers that keep crypto from wider use. This work builds on Argentina’s existing crypto momentum and offers a replicable framework for governments, cities, and organizations worldwide. This report is a first step toward a more user-centered approach to building on Ethereum: Starting from real problems of individuals, communities, and organizations, then working backwards to solutions that leverage Ethereum’s unique properties We ran our first experiment last year at @JoinEdgeCity Patagonia, a second one earlier this month at @ethereumsf, and are now working to scale our approach to new contexts Big thanks to @ianDAOs who led the design sprints and continues to support the EF Use Case Lab in bringing user-centric design thinking to Ethereum ⟠

Welcome to the Ethereum Economic Zone (EEZ), a framework for synchronously composable rollups. What does that mean? One deployment. Shared liquidity. Single transactions across L1 & L2. Identity verified anywhere. Smart wallets connected everywhere. No additional trust assumptions. This means L2s that are as credibly neutral, economically aligned, and publicly governed as the base layer itself. EEZ furthers Ethereum as the leading decentralized economy.

we as software engineers are becoming beholden to a handful of well funded corportations. while they are our "friends" now, that may change due to incentives. i'm very uncomfortable with that. i believe we need to band together as a community and create a public, free to use repository of real-world (coding) agent sessions/traces. I want small labs, startups, and tinkerers to have access to the same data the big folks currently gobble up from all of us. So we, as a community, can do what e.g. Cursor does below, and take back a little bit of control again. Who's with me? cursor.com/blog/real-time…

centralized stablecoins are a flawed form of money, partly because they embed control directly into the asset itself. it will be obvious in retrospect that they were never the endgame for crypto.

Fair warning. This post is bullish on Ethereum. Yesterday, the Ethereum Foundation Enterprise team ran the Institutional Ethereum Forum in New York City. Broad Adoption Activated. Invitation only. 100's of Banks, asset managers, and infrastructure providers representing around $250 trillion in assets under management. feedback so far "Absolute banger tbh." "People won't stop talking and networking and the content has all been great." "Your institutional team did an amazing job. I was there. Kudos." BlackRock. Western Union. Robinhood. Moody's. Baillie Gifford. Securitize. All on panels. Not as guests. As participants building on Ethereum. This is what adoption actually looks like. EF also presents its post-quantum security strategy and launches pq.ethereum.org. EF also presented its post-quantum security strategy and launched pq.ethereum.org. This is not just leading blockchain. No major technology platform has a published, open-source post-quantum migration roadmap at this level of detail. Ethereum is doing it before it is required, not after. Proud of the Enterprise team for putting this together. Choose Ethereum.
