@HeartInternet @ianben You are in control of what changes you made and being responsive. This was bungled from the start. 1) didn’t put SPF records in place when you said you would 2) didn’t monitor the failure rate 3) didn’t generate mail delivery errors for the failures 4) didn’t respond for days

@26Left @ianben Unfortunately, we are not in control of how 3rd party monitoring will react, despite a plan of best efforts to enable this migration. The spike in sending volumes has triggered some greylisting and rate limiting by the likes of Gmail.

@HeartInternet @ianben Sorry but I have lost all faith in your communications. You said you’d take care of SPF changes - but you didn’t. You said it was fixed - but it wasn’t. Then you said it would take 14 days, then suddenly all fixed as of today - but I’ve just tested again, and it isn’t.

@26Left @ianben This is unlikely to take the 14 days as quoted but we don't want to commit to something unrealistic. Whilst we hope for full resolution swiftly, we can offer a dedicated mailbox free of charge for 3 months as a temporary solution today.

@ianben @HeartInternet I had a mix, some domains had been updated by them, but some weren’t. But even with SPF in place, it seems that popular receiving services are now treating emails from the new @HeartInternet servers as spam AND senders aren’t getting mail delivery errors, so I am asking for logs.

@26Left @HeartInternet I also read the statement that domains on Heart's nameservers would be updated by them, so I took no action. I have since added an SPF record, confirmed as necessary by Heart support. But I have now lost at least two days worth of email messages. Very badly handled by Heart.

@rhyshj @HeartInternet In short, it’s a total #fail on their part. See here for some more info. Could take a while to fix. Meanwhile email disappearing into a black hole and not sending out mail delivery failures to senders. So senders don’t know there is a problem, & recipients don’t know what’s lost

Now I have support saying that they’ve created a problem that could take 14 days to fix, and email has so far been lost.
