To all professors and Western “fighters against Russia” who wage this war with Ukrainian hands and Ukrainian blood. Here is the reality — the status quo you are defending: Both of my grandmothers’ houses in the Kherson region have been destroyed. One grandmother survived only by a miracle, thanks to volunteers. My uncle’s house is damaged beyond his means to repair. My aunt’s house was destroyed; she, too, survived by a miracle and is now waiting for compensation to buy an apartment — compensation that is constantly delayed. Our family dacha in the Kherson region has been wiped out. My parents’ apartment in the city of Kherson is damaged. Today, Russian forces struck two apartment buildings right next to my parents’ home. The geography of shelling and Russian fire control over front-line territories keeps expanding. The city is almost empty. Every day people die from drone strikes. Those who remain live and work under fishing nets — a pathetic and unreliable shield against Russian drones. My country is being systematically destroyed. My nation is dying out. Strikes on Russian territory have not brought Russia to collapse. Every additional day of this war only makes the situation worse for Ukrainians. The EU has not only failed to stop buying Russian energy products — it has actually increased purchases of Russian LNG, while feeding us empty promises that it will stop someday. Europe continues to send hundreds of billions of euros to Russia. Ukrainian state has almost no money left even to support its own population, let alone to fight a war. We are surviving from month to month. How heartless, how inhuman, must one be to continue supporting this? Our dacha looks like this now

The traffic jam to leave Crimea on the last road out has turned into a parking lot, with cars starting to run out of fuel. Sevastopol, Crimea's largest city, is without power. Electricity has been knocked out for half of Crimea. All the roads, bridges, and the ferry have been disabled or are under too great a threat to use. All fuel sales have been suspended. Crimea's tourism industry has collapsed. Strikes against Russian airfields, administrative centers, air defense, and energy infrastructure have been carried out by Ukraine's elite Alpha Unit. The systematic dismantling of Russian civil and military systems in Crimea will either lead to complete abandonment of their position or a poorly-supplied force without the fuel and munitions to sustain a long fight. Crimea, already strategically vulnerable, is now isolated, and it's only going to get worse. The war started in Crimea. Now it may end there too.

Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR) warns Russia may be preparing a biological disaster in occupied southern Ukraine by burying livestock infected with anthrax in occupied Kherson region. According to HUR, the highest risk areas are around Askania-Nova, Skadovsk, and Zaliznyi Port, where anthrax spores can survive in soil for decades, posing a long-term threat to both people and animals.
