A massive security line this morning at @BWI_Airport as there is only one @TSA checkpoint open. Hundreds of people will be missing flights.

@LukeBarnett @yesmickeyj 1000000% agree - it’s an obvious cash grab but at least wait a few years - Moana 2 was literally just out. Why aren’t they cranking away frozen 3456789 which would fall also under cash grab categories but at least they’d be somewhat original material. A bluey movie maybe?
English

@yesmickeyj I guess, but it feels like it would be better to just show those same kids the original...

@rjlamb3 @MorganParrishTV @FOX29philly I left from BWI the other day around dinner and it looked like this so who knows

English

@MorganParrishTV @FOX29philly Is this seriously the lines at 4am ?
English

Chaos at PHL International airport right now😳😳several TSA checkpoints are closed @FOX29philly

@RichardERoeper 100% agree - I’d rather hear someone’s speech for their possible once in a lifetime moment Vs a dumb gag - the bridesmaids bit was lengthy and not funny.

@SuccessWithJake So why does the stock never move? It seems like streaming success/failures have become the main narrative for them

@DrAlmarielao One time I was at a brewery in Maryland and a bday party had a pitbull in their party - a friend joining the party made her rounds of hellos then squatted down to kiss the pitbull and it bit her lips right off - it was bad.

A woman shares her story online after a shocking incident with her dog of almost 11 years. One night, she leaned in to give him a goodnight kiss, something she’d done countless times before, and the dog suddenly bit her, severely injuring her nose. After surgeries and learning to use makeup to help restore her appearance, she says she still plans to keep the dog because she believes it was a one-time accident. She uses makeup to cover the scars.
The bond between people and their pets can be incredibly strong. But situations like this raise tough questions about safety, responsibility, and whether love for an animal can outweigh a traumatic experience.
Would you keep a pet after something this serious happened, or would the risk be too great?

I don't know about you.
But when I take my family out to dinner, I don't bring an iPad to shut the kids up.
Coloring books? Sure. If they get fidgety.
But a screen? No.
Here's the problem:
Parents hand their kids an iPad because they don't want to actually parent in public.
They don't want to:
• Deal with questions
• Manage behavior
• Engage with their kids
So they outsource it to a screen.
And that's a slippery slope.
Because the more you rely on tech to pacify your kids, the less they learn:
• How to sit with boredom
• How to behave in public
• How to have a conversation
You're not making things easier.
You're making them dependent.
And when they can't function without a screen? That's on you.
Your kids don't need constant entertainment.
They need you to actually show up and parent them.

300 isn’t a very good movie. I’m just going to call balls & strikes like I see it & I’m not apologizing for it. You know what is a good Zack Snyder film? Man of Steel. Some of you need to come to Jesus & admit Snyder lapped James Gunn’s Superman. Man of Steel is highly underrated
Kalshi Culture@Kalshi_Culture
Warner Bros hesitated to approve Zack Snyder’s “300”, so they gave him a small budget to make a test clip. The proof of concept was explosive. The film was immediately greenlit.

Hook (1991) sitting at 29% on Rotten Tomatoes still feels unreal. Steven Spielberg’s scale, Robin Williams’ warmth, and Dustin Hoffman with Bob Hoskins going full theatrical pirate chaos. It’s messy, loud, and absolutely drenched in childhood wonder.

What kids movie has no right to be as good as it is?

@MyRadarWX @MatthewCappucci Looks like it won’t even turn to snow in the Annapolis area until darkness falls
English

INCREASED TOTALS in the Mid-Atlantic! Here's the latest forecast from @MatthewCappucci. We've now added a 7 to 10 inch zone in northwest Maryland, including the Potomac Highlands, and the I-81 corridor of south central Pennsylvania near Chambersburg and Greencastle. This is where we think a band of "deformation," or stretching at the mid-levels of the atmosphere, may
New Jersey gang – boom potential if we get a "pivot point" of sorts with this system. (An inverted trough, or extra strip of low pressure, might form on the backside, helping banding to linger over the area for longer as the storm pivots.) I'm going with 10 to 15 inches from Asbury Park to Little Egg Harbor, but we can't rule out the very low chance that an isolated location sees up to 20 inches.
For New York City, 7 to 10 inches. A foot plus east on Long Island.
For Washington D.C., 5 inches give or take. Baltimore, probably closer to 6 inches.
We'll also see some enhancement on the western slopes of the Alleghenies due to "upslope flow", or air being forced up the mountains.

@7NewsDC This seems like an all hands on deck situation for @GovWesMoore and his team. Why is this seemingly getting swept under the rug?

Many people are saying schools are being delayed due to the ice.
I agree.
But when the temperatures are far below freezing, is there any less ice at 10:30AM compared to 8:30AM?
In other words, what does a two-hour late start accomplish?
Chris Papst@chrispapst
UPDATE: On Tuesday, Baltimore County Public Schools is on a two-hour late start. That means, NINE days after a snowstorm, BCPS is still on a delay…. because of snow. I ask again-is this understandable, or has the response to last Sunday’s snow & cold temps been a failure?
English

@chrispapst Failure - put Annapolis in the same boat. The city was pushing people to clean sidewalks so children can walk to school yet the sidewalks at city schools aren’t even shoveled - make it make sense.
