Honest Question: Yesterday Senators Elizabeth Warren Stated The Following— “This latest draft bill would make it easier for criminals and cartels and terrorists to move money and finance their operations.” Can anyone provide the evidence of this? I’ve been researching for hours and consensus from both parties seems to be that in this unregulated environment, we don’t have the means to prevent most of this activity. How does preventing the Bill solve that problem?

Made it through Senate Banking Committee. Now it's on the verge of passing before August recess. Here's the problem: Democrats are demanding robust ethics provisions. Republicans say it's good enough. Neither side is backing down. Senator Elizabeth Warren says law enforcement issues remain unresolved. Senators Murphy, Van Hollen, and Merkley are formally opposing the bill. Senator Tim Scott says it closes doors for criminals and terrorists. Senate Majority Leader John Thune is pushing for a vote before the break. But he needs 60 votes. That means he needs Democrats to show up. General Teichert told Capitol Hill watchers: don't rush this. Close the national security loopholes. Show Iran how to circumnavigate your own rules by codifying them poorly.
