@bryce_spalding @KB_48 I hear you but just having Friedl, one of Benson/Bleday and switch-hitting Elly would leave the team awfully RHH dominant. I guess the backup infielder could be a lefty (Adam Frazier) or another switch-hitter (Rengifo) though.

I really think the only signing the #Reds are going to make from here out is middle-infield depth to replace Lux with someone more suited to be a backup (and that can play SS in a pinch). My best guess is still Isiah Kiner-Falefa. They’ve wanted him for years.

@RedsInFour Rortvedt is probably the easiest choice. But wouldn’t be surprised if they try trade someone like Dunn, Hinds or CES to open up the spot and MAYBE get a lotto ticket in the process.

News: Trump dialed up Susan Collins in what a Senate R described as a 'profanity-laced rant' over her Venezuela war powers vote.
Call came during Thurs vote & "out of the blue" as the two don't talk much.
Per 2nd source, Trump was “Very mad. Very hot."

@HeyGingersaurus Lodolo for Abreu does make sense the more I think about it. Just would wonder what they do with Marte and the rest of the outfield if something like that happens.

If the #Reds were to trade one of their controllable big league starters for an outfielder like Wilyer Abreu, for example, who is still pre-arbitration eligible, they could theoretically add a FA starter with the money they have left.

When it came down to Luis Robert and the Reds, the #WhiteSox were willing to pay half of his salary, but asked for Chase Petty, Hector Rodriguez, and the Compensatory Pick as well and were not willing to move off that asking price if they were eating money.

@bryce_spalding Strange for sure but he doesn’t have options. I’m guessing they think with the split contract, he’ll slip through waivers and be AAA depth. (Or maybe DFA’ing someone means they have to be traded or released if they aren’t claimed?)
