@bryce_spalding I agree that the 1s and 2s are pretty far ahead of everyone else. But I think the first round will see a decent amount of upsets. I think 6+ of the 11-14 seeds will win their first round game and at least 2 of the 10s win as well.

Couple random NCAA tournament takes before we get started… -I think this may be the “chalkiest” tournament we see in some time. Not overly impressed with the 11-14 seeds who normally make noise. -The 1 & 2 seeds feel significantly better than everyone else. -Not a “one bracket” only guy. This is the best tournament of all sports. Fill out as many as you want.

@TheReportOhio Woolfolk looked great defensively. On the offensive side though…he looked rough.

🔴 We had some shut-eye to digest Miami’s win over SMU in the First Four. Some takeaways: ⚪️ RedHawks played bigger than what their height indicates on paper — and it started with Woolfolk, who had a fantastic game. The stat sheet won’t indicate that ⚪️ Suder led the team with leadership — like always — with 7 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists ⚪️ Skaljac is an absolute gamer — smallest guy on the court with the most impact ⚪️ Elmer was the most athletic player on the court — hands down — game-high 23 points in just 23 minutes, with foul trouble late ⚪️ UD Arena turned into Millett Hall — as it should have ⚪️ Atlason, Kirby, Perry consistently do their job off the bench — and it was no different last night ⚪️ Only 4 turnovers is absurd ⚪️ Still find it crazy how one of the best 3-point shooting teams in the country shot only 15 of 22 from the line ⚪️ Byers has the fastest shot release I’ve ever seen, and that will be big moving on against Tennessee

Is there any doubt that these Miami (OH) white dudes are about to hit 17 fadeaway 3’s to beat Tennessee???

@mid_madness No team in ANY conference that has a conference record under .500 should get an at large bid. None.

genuinely do not give a crap what happens in the rest of this game.... if anybody ever tells you that they would've rather seen auburn over this, they are not a serious person

@TurkStevens @matthewwinick Also, who’s the second player that was missing? Other than Edwards, every player that averaged over 14 minutes per game played.

@CBKReport “Miami (OH) played in 0 Q1 games” is now untrue. I know it probably doesn’t matter now since tournament selection has already happened, but they are now 1-0 in Quad 1 games.

“Miami (OH) played in 0 Q1 games” “Miami (OH) wouldn’t make it in a power conference” “Miami (OH) is 93rd in KenPom” “Miami (OH) is going to get rolled in the First Four, they’re 7.5-point underdogs” - Miami (OH) is now 32-1. That’s why we play the games.

@johnrivers131 That’s their best chance to overcome a size deficit. I was worried about matchups with teams that are size dominant, but after seeing how they adjusted today, I see a path to competing in those games too.

@PatrickCrocker2 @evanscbb Theirs is absolutely unprecedented, but any top mid-major that dominates the regular season even with a weak schedule now has to feel like they have a chance. A team like the 2024 Indiana State team, for example, likely feels better about tournament hopes going forward.

@evanscbb Similar resume? Dude this resume has never happened. When was the last time a team went undefeated with a bottom 5 non conf strength of schedule only to lose a Q3/Q4 game in their conf tourney? Answer: never.

Miami (OH) winning is MUST bigger than you think… The selection committee will NEVER snub a mid major team who has a similar resumè like this in the future. If they got destroyed a team like this would NEVER see the field again. Miami just changed the game of College Basketball forever…

@bryce_spalding Since it’s Spring Training, I bet they were extra cautious also. It’s possible that he wouldn’t have even needed to come out of the game if it were regular season.

@MulkyCulkin2020 @joe_srigley Bookmark this if you want to. Barring a mechanical failure or getting wrecked by someone else, Allgaier will finish in the top 5 at Bristol. One of his best tracks. Will be his 4th race with this team and he should be comfortable by then.

@joe_srigley He’s such an uninspiring mediocre fill in guy. Just absolutely dreadful at Vegas, including a speeding penalty. Xfinity is 85% Chevy drivers now, give someone else a shot. Never gonna get that Jamie replacing Sterling moment with Justin behind the wheel.

Justin Allgaier, fill-in driver of the No. 48 Ally Chevrolet at Darlington: “We are all continuing to keep Alex (Bowman) top of mind and hope that his recovery continues so that he can get back behind the wheel of this car. Hopefully we can go out and make him proud this weekend. I’ve always loved racing at Darlington, and I feel like we have a great chance to have a really solid day on Sunday.”    #NASCAR

@yuggs513 @KB_48 I described them as mid major Louisville. If Louisville got VCU or Troy, someone who isn’t afraid to slow a game down into the 60s, I would’ve been much more concerned. Every possession is so valuable in those games. They’ll get ample possessions and shots against USF.

I absolutely love that everyone is picking against Louisville first round lol. The popular Cinderella is usually the one that falls short. We’ll see. USF is good. Pat Kelsey has handled lesser teams his Louisville tenure so far.

@MunchieRedEyes @gavinmchughh If Edwards and Washington are both out or severely limited, they’ll be extremely reliant on two players. That’s usually not a recipe for success.
