🚨BREAKING🚨: Today Conservatives moved an important motion to cancel the upcoming April 1st Liberal tax hike on alcohol. Rather than delivering this cost saving measure for Canadians and small businesses, Liberal members threatened to filibuster the entire meeting and refused to vote, adjourning the meeting instead! #cdnpoli

@lesliechurch You know you could lower taxes and stop the outrageous spending, that would save everyone in the long run and you wouldn’t have the ridiculous costs to manage the programs.

Conservatives might think Dental Care and a National School Food Program are “radical” but everyday Canadians know that these programs are essential measures that bring down costs and make life more affordable.

Two Pilots Are Dead—And Canada Is Arguing About Language Optics Two pilots are dead. That should be the story. The focus should be on what happened, how it happened, and how we make sure it never happens again. Instead, in Canada, the conversation shifts almost instantly to optics. Not safety. Not accountability. Not systems. Language. A CEO delivers condolences… and the national reaction isn’t about leadership or tragedy it’s about whether it was said in both official languages. Summoned. Criticized. Politicized. That’s where we are. At a time when Canadians are dealing with rising costs, declining opportunity, and real structural problems across the country, the energy of our institutions gets directed toward symbolic debates that change nothing. It’s hard not to notice the pattern. Real issues get a press release. Optics get a hearing. And the gap between what matters and what’s discussed keeps growing. I was born in Canada. Built my life here. Built businesses here. It used to feel like a serious country focused on outcomes, not appearances. Now it feels like we’re managing perception instead of reality. And honestly? It’s getting embarrassing. Because when something tragic happens and the national response is to argue about optics instead of substance, it tells you everything about where priorities really are. Two pilots are dead. And somehow, that’s not the main conversation.

🚨 BREAKING Carney gets caught. RED HANDED. This morning my spruce called Carney’s Nepean constituency office: IT WAS ALL ENGLISH. No French. Not bilingual. This is the same PM who said the Air Canada CEO’s English-only condolence video showed “a lack of judgment and compassion.” The same PM who said Air Canada has “a responsibility to communicate in both official languages, regardless of the situation.” I called his office an hour ago: THEY QUIETLY SWITCHED IT TO FRENCH. I HAVE RECEIPTS. This same Parliament voted three years ago NOT to require the Air Canada CEO to speak French. Only the Bloc voted for it. They chose not to make it mandatory. Then summoned the CEO for not doing it. Two pilots are dead. A fire truck with no transponder on an active runway & one controller doing two jobs. And Ottawa spent the day policing the language of a grief video while the PM’s own office wasn’t even compliant? UNTIL HE GOT CAUGHT? Rules for thee. Never for me. Trudeau 2.0.

HEY @MarkJCarney, Two pilots are dead. Families are grieving. And your instinct is to police the language of a condolence message. You send the Air Canada CEO before the Official Languages Committee… while the Governor General posts the same English-only message and gets a free pass. Same tragedy. Same country. Two completely different rules. That reputation for a short fuse might play well in closed rooms. Out here, it reads as something else entirely. SELECTIVE, PERFORMATIVE OUTRAGE! Applied when it’s convenient. Ignored when it’s not. You think this is leadership? It’s opportunism, plain and simple. Only lowlifes and bottom feeding oxygen sponges would behave like this. So when can we expect to see your dressing down of @GGCanada??? Either Drag her before committee or leave the Air Canada CEO alone to be in his grief over the loss of valued employees, you sorry excuse for a pressed suit!! EVERYONE.... @sarobertsonca She is off her rocker. The liberals just voted down a bill that would’ve called for stiffer sentences for sexual predators. The emergencies act multiple times has been deemed illegal.

@DimitrisSoudas That this is even a thing is disgusting. You are worried about this when two people died and many other people are injured and traumatized, that should be the concern not the language of the condolence. Making sure this doesn’t happen again is a much greater concern.

Sir, This isn't about holding one person to a higher standard than another. It's about respecting the law and respecting Canadians. This country was built on a pact in 1867 — a deal between peoples. At its core was a commitment that Canada would be built on two official languages, English and French, and that both would be respected at the highest levels of public life. That's not symbolic. It's part of our constitutional DNA. Air Canada is not just any company. It's bound by the Official Languages Act — and that's not optional. It's a legal obligation to serve Canadians in both official languages, especially in moments of crisis. When lives are lost, language isn't a secondary concern. It's dignity. It's respect. It's the ability to reach grieving families in the language of their heart. One of the pilots was a francophone. His family deserved to be addressed in French. Full stop. As for the Governor General, let's be equally clear. Someone who can't speak French should never have been appointed to one of the highest offices in this country. That decision ignored the spirit of 1867 and sent the wrong signal about what we value as a nation. But one mistake doesn't justify another. And frankly, suggesting that learning enough French to deliver a few sentences would somehow detract from safety just isn't credible. After decades in Quebec, a francophone spouse, and hundreds of hours of tutoring, the issue is no longer time. It's will. This isn't about politics. It's about honouring the foundation of this country and showing basic respect to the people who live in it.
Jason Kenney 🇨🇦🇺🇦🇮🇱@jkenney

I await Governor General Mary Simon's condolence video in French. Why do the Liberals hold the CEO of Air Canada to a higher standard of bilingualism than their own appointee as Governor General, who hasn't learned French after four years in the role? TBH, I would rather have the CEO of our flagship carrier focusing his scarce time on safety and reliability than language training.

@Prominent_Bryan No, the people that are concerned this are very ignorant. Two people died in a horrific crash 40+ other others are injured and traumatized. Give your fucking heads a shake. The French ran underneath.

@kinsellawarren I cannot believe that this is what people are concerned with after that horrific crash. The french ran underneath. They knew he didn’t speak french, the governor general of canada doesn’t speak french. People need to give their heads a shake.
