It’s crazy how blind John MacArthur was when it came to eschatology. Listening to his revelation sermon series is painful

Let me say, as a Christian to the people claiming to oppose Pride Nights because of your Christianity… you’re doing Christianity wrong. Same for Juneteenth or any night representing inclusion. You’re not following the teachings you claim to be following.
Jakhob Clady@OriginalClady

The problem here is that you fundamentally misunderstand the purpose of Pride Night. It's not about promoting a belief system. It's about showing LGBTQ+ fans that they belong at the ballpark. If you're opposed to Pride Night, that's the message you're opposing.

@TheovanRossum4 I didn’t say you need Jesus in order to know what’s right or wrong. That was never the issue. The issue is that you need your sins dealt with.

@JohnnyISD I don't need your Jesus in order to know what's right or wrong. It's just a ridiculous idea that this poor excuse of a human being can "go to Heaven" just because he supposedly "repented" but others who simply don't believe in your Jesus are sent to Hell? Doesn't make sense.

@TheovanRossum4 What happened was you compared yourself to him by saying you’re not like him so you should be ok. You should compare yourself to Jesus and then you’d see that you’re sinful. Your own sin will send you to hell unless you are born again like he was.

If you want to write a Bible verse on your hat, by all means, go ahead. But you deserve every bit of backlash if you’re doing so on a day that recognizes love and inclusivity. You know what you’re doing.

These baseball players... No one made them wear pride hats. They could have worn their regular baseball hats. THEY decided to send a message of intolerance and homophobia and are now trying to hide behind their religion. Religion doesn’t erase bigotry. They don’t get to play victims now. - Sincerely, A Christian who actually reads the Bible

The Bible was used to authorize all of these things & in at least the case of slavery, there’s no syllable of the Bible that can plausibly be interpreted to condemn it. Also, the Bible never condemns abortion & the OT clearly identifies a fetus as property & not a person.

People have a right to whatever religious beliefs they want — even if those beliefs dehumanize other people — but they don’t have a right to hijack their employer to promote those hateful beliefs at a job-related event. MLB didn’t penalize them for their faith. It penalized them for violating the rules of their employment.
Josh Hawley@HawleyMO

What does MLB think it’s doing penalizing players for their Christian faith? They owe us some answers. Right now.
