Its not things acting to stay alive that generate the concept of value, but things "that must" act to stay alive, as in living organisms, or life, that generates the concept of value Life generate the concept of value because it's only life that has an alternative of existence or non existence. In order to continue existing living organisms need to attain things, those things is what we call value. No life, nothing needs to attain anything, no such thing as value.
