@BuffyWicks @CityofRichmond @Oakland reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace… determining what is and isn’t okay for a personal computer to do is not something that lawmakers should have any authority to regulate. Digital ID is not a solution that anyone should find acceptable.
English

@BuffyWicks @CityofRichmond @Oakland Why did you write AB 1043? You explicitly include Linux even though it’s maintained by volunteers and one of the only Free and open source alternatives to the proprietary garbage big tech forces on us. Hold parents accountable instead of blaming computers.
English

I am blown away by Alysa Liu—she is pure joy to watch! And she’s a @CityofRichmond and @Oakland homegrown shero! The East Bay is so proud!

@whynotjavascrpt @FFmpeg Because open source projects have had to deal with AI slop bug bounties that take effort to disprove and it is actively harming them.
English

@FFmpeg I wonder why. Most contracts with companies prevent them from training on the data anyway. We'll need to look very carefully over the terms for that.
English

@HenryTillmepa @mattpavelle @doctronic @politico Literally not holding the AI accountable. I’m not asking who is responsible for damages.
English

@SelfhostedPro @mattpavelle @doctronic @politico The one who built it, the one who owns it. There would be multiple lawsuits. Like we don’t live in a sue happy society as is.
English

Not SciFi anymore. @Doctronic is now the first AI in America (the world?) legally authorized to practice medicine.
We're live in Utah, renewing prescriptions with no doctor required.

@michaelaubry @rovensky @stripe @patrickc @jeff_weinstein Big words from the man who’s mission is to “merge ai & crypto”
English

@rovensky @stripe @patrickc @jeff_weinstein Bro you are a fucking retard.. I worked my ass off making a figma like tool, i am a passionate builder, for you to reduce me to that is a big f you you are the problem
English

Now @stripe is threatening to fine me $100k all because I made an AI business
Seriously fuck you guys fuck you @patrickc fuck you @jeff_weinstein you are all dirty

English

@ola_otesile You use AI for your singular PR of renaming a single class. Stop bragging about shit until you have something worth bragging about.
English

@AndrewCurran_ How do you hold AI accountable when it puts someone in jail erroneously?
English

Once it tips, it will happen fast. There will be attempts to outlaw the use of AI, but the economic incentives will be too powerful. Nations will have to figure out what to do with a wave of unemployed, formerly high-income members of the priestly caste who have no prospects.

@ThePrimeagen There’s additional coordination that takes place utilizing their infrastructure which has cost. They also talk about improving the experience of hosting selfhosted runners.
Either way it would be nice if there was another option that was actually good.
English

@tannerlinsley Is there any plan to enable complete separation of client and server build artifacts? Have been looking a bit but haven’t found anything obvious.
Would allow having ssr in tauri by running server in a sidecar and having tauri build the client as it normally does.
English

Purely static sites were possible with Start, but we’re trying to make it a bit easier. And opt in per page! And gracefully upgrade to spa of you enter on a hydrated page.

@KarolCodes @Jonathan_Blow Based on the amount of weekend commits, I’d say you probably could get out of the house more.
English

when a 18 y/o high school dropout yc founder with a b2b saas raising pre-pre-seed tells me he's hitting the cluely yc startup school afterparty and offers to pay for our waymo with his brex card then asks me what i'm building but im terrified to admit it's not cursor for windsurf but then he flexes me his stripe dashboard showing 0$ mrr but one organic user signup (his mom) and then tries to angel invest in my startup (i can only vibe code)
English

@rafaelchiti @tan_stack Any idea if you’d do a blog post on this or open source any sections of it for people to use as an example? I find it difficult to find more fully featured projects to use as references/inspo when building my own thins with tanstack start
English

I was a bit scared when we picked @tan_stack router for building our game-like UI (since it was still beta). But couldn't be happier, gave us great ergonomics for handling preloads, bundle splitting, lazy loading, types and heavy state in the url. 10/10 😬.
English

@sunshine_blac @shadcn Someone probably already has: github.com/birobirobiro/a…
assistant-ui.com looks like it may fit what you’re looking for.
English

@tannerlinsley Hey, is there an area where discussion on tanstack start docs is happening? Would like to see things like best practices for db/auth/etc.
English

@ThePrimeagen Next week I’ll have 2 years sober and honestly, I don’t miss alcohol anymore. For a while I was thinking I would just take a year off but at a certain point I stopped missing it.
English

@CALFIRESANDIEGO Is there an estimate of if it’s going to go east or west?
English

@CALFIRESANDIEGO is at scene of a vegetation fire north of Interstate 15 and Highway 76. The fire is approximately 5 acres in size with a rapid rate of spread and structures threatened. #PalaFire

@SlackHQ This is garbage and should be the default experience. You think changing things as a user is typing is a good experience? Just do what apple does and stop trying again after the user hits backspace.
English

Autocomplete for names getting in your way? Account Menu > Preferences > Odds & Ends: check @-use only. (Reload required) #SlackTipOfTheDay

@tephlondude @Docker Hey, I’m working on this again and just added some videos in my latest tweet. Lmk if you want to take an early look and I can walk you through what’s working currently.
English

@SelfhostedPro has built a fantastic tool called Yacht, which allows you to quickly & easily create @Docker solutions in the cloud.
If you are looking for the next tool to enable your #SaaS solution, you've just found it!
