Jeff Bezos just called AI pessimism “the opposite of reality” and he’s backing it up with action. He’s launching a new AI company called Prometheus. Bezos believes we’re still extremely early in AI and that the biggest opportunities are still ahead. Instead of worrying about the risks, he’s doubling down on building the future. Classic Bezos move: while others are debating dangers, he’s investing heavily and moving fast. Love the optimism or think he’s too naive? 👇

If you're a king, queen, president, prime minister, emir, sultan, or any leader of a country, make the development of innovative LLM infrastructure, AI algorithms, and supporting hardware TAX-FREE for at least the next decade. Not for companies that simply use AI, but for those building better AI models and the infrastructure behind them. Provide incentives to bring back expat talent. If you do, your country might have a chance to survive what’s coming.

The shift brought about by HBM: - From 1957 to 2020, DRAM cost per Gb declined by roughly one order of magnitude every five years, making it one of the clearest examples of Moore’s Law in cost terms. - However, demand for AI infrastructure and the emergence of HBM have directly overturned the cost-reduction pattern that had persisted for decades.

NOBODY IN THE ROOM KNOWS YOU'RE USING CLAUDE 😳 I genuinely thought this was a normal Google Doc. Turns out, it's Claude. Someone built a Chrome extension that makes ChatGPT and Claude look exactly like a document editor. You type a question. The AI answers right inside the page. To everyone around you? It just looks like you're working. A few wild details: • Works with ChatGPT and Claude • Looks like Google Docs by default • Can mimic Notion and Microsoft Word too • Supports multiple AI models • Everything happens inside the fake document The extension is called GPTDisguise. We're entering an era where AI isn't hidden in another tab. It's hiding in plain sight.

Serious question: Why doesn't India have a frontier AI lab yet? > Wrong incentives? > Not enough compute? > Brain drain? > Not enough long-term capital? Or is frontier AI simply harder than most people realize? Curious what builders think.

A dev got so frustrated watching his AI agent write 500 lines for a 5-line problem that he built a fix. He called it Ponytail. Named after the guy every team has - long ponytail, oval glasses, been there longer than the version control. You show him fifty lines; he looks at them, says nothing, and replaces them with one. Now your agent does the same. Before writing anything, it looks for a reason not to. 80-94% less code. 47-77% cheaper. 3-6x faster. The best code is the code you never wrote. The US placing export controls on Anthropic could fast-track the AI bubble bursting. Prices for data center parts are already out of control due to overwhelming supply shortages. Now, this is going to trigger every single country to scramble and build their own data centers for sovereign AI. Hardware and infrastructure costs are going to rise at an unprecedented speed. If that happens, AI becomes crazily expensive, profit margins crash, and funding disappears. That equals a total collapse. I don't know what the US was thinking with this move, but we might be heading into a very serious scenario.

If you're an Indian, here is your best chance to get rich. Invest in AI. Logic:- 1) Let's say your job gets disrupted by AI, who benefits? AI models/firms. You're basically buying an insurance. You lose your job. But, your investments in AI helps you sustain. 2) If AI fails. Cool. You compound your wealth via your existing jobs. You still win. 3) If your job gets disrupted. Plus you have low/no AI investments, you're running a massive tail-end risk of a wipe out. AI will either make you richer or make you redundant. There is no mid path here. You might be worried about AI valuations. Fair enough. But, if the AI story compounds over the next 5 years. And, you miss out. You seriously run a wipe out risk. No Mutual Fund Manager is going to tell you how to think. I'm trying to. Think about this. And, make better calls.

This is so cool: OpenRouter launched Fusion: a server-side “panel of models” that sends your prompt to multiple models in parallel. It lets them use web search and bash tools, then has a judge compare their answers and a synthesizer write the final response. Potentially at lower cost than relying on one expensive frontier model. The claim: Fusion beats frontier models on Perplexity’s DRACO deep research benchmark.

@altiamkabir verification debt is real—AI ships code faster than we can trust it. TestSprite looks like the fix we need!

🚨 BREAKING: AI is creating a new kind of technical debt. Not code debt. Verification debt. AI ships code in minutes. Reviewers can't scale to match. AWS CTO Werner Vogels calls it **verification debt** — and your team is probably accumulating it whether you've named it or not. That's why @Test_Sprite caught my attention. Other verification tools read code and guess. TestSprite opens your app and uses it. It explores real workflows, validates actual behavior, and helps catch the bugs that slip past AI-generated PRs and rubber-stamped reviews. As AI-generated code becomes the norm, this feels increasingly important.

So how do you fix AI's memory problem? 3 things that actually work: 1. Start every chat with context. Who you are, what you're building, what you decided last time. Paste it in. Takes 30 seconds. 2. Keep a "AI briefing doc". One file you update. Copy it in whenever you start fresh. 3. Use memory features. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini all have them now. Turn them on. AI doesn't forget. It just was never told.

There is no inevitability in AI. We all have agency in what comes next: Path 1: closed-source APIs, concentration of power, and a future decided by a handful of people in Silicon Valley and DC Path 2: open-source AI, where everyone gets to participate, own, and build together, including orgs like the city of Rio. Pick your path anon!
SemiAnalysis@SemiAnalysis_

SITUATION DETECTED: The city of Rio de Janerio has post-trained a model. Based on Qwen 7/2, Rio 3.5 Open 397B adds SwiReasoning on top of the base Qwen model — a framework that dynamically switches between standard chain-of-thought and latent-space reasoning, guided by entropy-based confidence signals, so the model only "thinks out loud" when it needs to and otherwise reasons silently in hidden space for better token efficiency.

In China: • WhatsApp/FB = WeChat • Instagram = Xiaohongshu • Amazon = Taobao • TikTok = Douyin • X/Twitter = Weibo • YouTube = Bilibili • Google = Baidu • Uber = Didi They built their walled garden early, protected it, and now own their market while expanding globally. Meanwhile, we let others enter, and got hollowed out. Today, the same people we gave entry to are blocking us from their AI models. Same story with manufacturing & imports, we took the easy route which has put us in a hard place. Time to change that. Be it hardware or software: Build here. For the people, by the people.
