Hello @LNER I have been trying to book train tickets for the past hour. Your website says you are having problems and to contact you on social media. Can you help?

Do you remember when @EldonSqNCL looked like this? 💭 This picture from around the 1980s is a real throwback to the central area in front of Bainbridge's, with the dome containing one of Bainbridge's cafes! ☕🍰🥪 Image credit: @ToonLibraries

I'm putting together an event in Newcastle end February for @ccuk_social and looking for speakers who'd like to share work or thoughts on "pink". Can be from any field, and approach from any perspective! DM me if you are interested!

@_WildfellHall Giving and receiving cards is one of my fave bits of Christmas. I enjoy thinking about the people that I’m sending to. I’vekept their cards from the last couple of years and are happy to display ones from the past and hope that everyone will check in with me by email or phone.

@thatkat That was an interesting story Kat, I felt that the felling at Sycamore Gap was a protest but we shall wait and see. The sycamore was close to me and I often took my guests to see it.

@SoVeryBritish Our local cinema audience in @ForumCinemaH Hexham are usually respectful and well behaved. I go there a lot. I’m thankful that there are no nachos, the popcorn smells and sounds bad enough.

Apart from the group of young lads chatting to each other, the guy next to me with his phone screen on full brightness, the two women rustling a giant multi-bag of crisps, the bloke kicking the back of my chair, the not being able to understand a word the actors are mumbling and the small popcorn and small Pepsi “deal” costing £9… I love going to the cinema.

My favourite Queen Elizabeth anecdotes: 1) The Queen and Gary While a young boy, Prince William was playing at Buckingham Palace and he fell. Instead of shouting for ‘Granny’, he called for ‘Gary’ — much to the confusion of everyone present. A guest who went to help asked who Gary was, assuming it must be a member of the royal household. ‘I’m Gary,’ responded the Queen. ‘He hasn’t learned to say Granny yet'."

@RevRichardColes I sold evening dresses in the mid 80s I do not recall some of these suggestions doing long evening wear but Frank Usher definitely did and was in the middle class bracket

@folksy I had a shop with you 12 years ago. It was called For Queen & Corgi. Folksy was marvellous and I have nothing but praise for you. I hope that more people will learn about you and join you and that you never lose that personal contact with your customers.

Folksy is much smaller than Etsy but we're dedicated to creating the best marketplace for makers in the UK - where handmade doesn't have to compete with mass-produced - & where you can be part of a friendly site with an incredible community, run by people passionate about craft.
