@JulieLovesFluff It’s horrible when you come to a realisation like that isn’t it. Does baby also react to cows milk? It’s very common for soy and cows milk to occur together.

Baby had such a rough night last night, he was up every hour just fussing and my husband just pointed out the last time he did this was when we had stir fry for dinner and that's what we had last night too so I'm thinking it might be a soy allergy, I feel terrible for him. We don't eat much soy because we make nearly all our food at home but stir fry has literal soy sauce in it 😭

@FraserBerryFarm Fish actually is one of the top allergens- in Australia we’re encouraged to introduce early on and then keep in the diet regularly.

My mom was absolutely horrified when I said I’d like to introduce baby P to sardines. Is this something I’m missing? Apparently fish is some mega allergen? Literally everyone is feeding baby fish lol

Looking for book recommendations for baby food stuff. Probably gonna do both & see what she likes. Officially 5m, so I wanna take the next month to figure it out. Wanting to be meat & fat heavy for this kid. Hoping it’ll make up for her falling off an air mattress yesterday.

@FraserBerryFarm I planned to do a combination of purées and other food with my 6 month old. Turns out he doesn’t want a bar of being spoon fed and just wants to munch on finger food or attempt to get a loaded spoon in his own mouth. I guess it’ll save me some effort.

Ok so baby led weaning is not just feeding baby after 6m. Apparently there’s puree hate? Have I just unlocked a new side to mom twt?

I already have a bunch of size 2s from her brother but they’re all boy coded. I think she has one girly size 2 from the baby sprinkle. I can only get a couple rn bc it would be superfluous since we have enough. I’m getting one purple, should the other one be lemons or bluebs ?????

I always liked the name Ethan for a boy, but I could never use it because my last name is Allen and I didn't want to subject a son to endless teasing about being named after a furniture company. What baby names did you like but never use?

@TeenaBrode unfortunately for us it’s the protein in dairy (and soy, and egg). we’re in a bit of a pickle.

@tallsnail I wanted to love ring slings, but even with a good fit I just don’t feel as comfortable as with my structured carrier. Contemplating selling my ring sling and putting it towards a half buckle.

I must be missing something bc i just do not get the appeal of ring slings? I've watched many tutorials and i'm quite sure i have the fit right. But the asymmetry drives me crazy, one arm is pinned down disproportionately and i have to subtly compensate in my posture and i get sore in 30 minutes or so Bummed because i bought such a cute one and i wanna wear it more but i just don't enjoy it compared to my meh dai or buckle carriers

I loved Anne of Green Gables because I found Anne to be so adorable and likable and she reminded me of myself as a child. It really healed my inner child that always worried I was “too much” or “annoying” Imagine my surprise when I went on good reads to leave my 5 star rating to find that many people found Anne to be intolerable. Heartbreaking 💔

@acottagemouse Mine is not a fab of mush, but loves finger foods. Check out Clean Cloth Nappies for wash advice, I rarely get stained clothes.

I absolutely hate the 6 month mark when I have to start introducing solids bc now all my baby’s clothes are stained, there’s rainbow baby mush everywhere, bibs need washed, and he just screams after 2 bites and doesn’t want to eat 😭

@bloomingshoot @iWomansplainer Sounds exactly like FPIES. Very common to outgrow egg allergies.

@iWomansplainer look up FPIES! Non IgE so won’t show up in blood work.

Blood allergy test was negative so we tried a small amount of egg again today. Same thing happened 😔 poor boy

@GreatLakesWife_ My baby will be 6 months, I’m just doing him some bunny pjs and a toy. Mostly so big sister doesn’t wonder why baby brother didn’t get anything from the bunny.

I wasn’t planning on making an Easter basket for baby since she’ll only be 3 months old, but should I? Am I missing out on whimsy?
