Idk who needs to hear this, but I had my kids way too young, and have never regretted it. I’m not telling anyone what to do, but there is no greater joy- even when it’s really tough and not ideal.

I’m trying to calculate when all the teachers are going to declutter their classrooms over summer & then going to raid the thrift stores near the schools. I get so many great quality books.

The last stack of books to input in my Libib app. It usually scans barcodes but I have a bunch of scholastic ones that only teachers get so there isn’t any barcode available. Need to figure out storage for kids books that are too oddly tall. Bothersome lol

the ratio of fun to drudgery/awfulness gets so much better around 6-9 months, and then again around a year, 18 months... you're in for a treat, especially if figuring out crawling alleviates a ton of existential distress like it did for my oldest ❤️ you're also close to the phase where you can give her any old random object and she'll be into it for ages, that's a relief too. you're very close to breathing room. Just survive (I know, I know) also apologies if you're a veteran mom and already know all of that ^

@Elliesmommyy23 Maybe bc our babies are still young, but my mum never complained abt any of our gifts & if it was a difficult, she’d just sit down & do it w/ me. We always went through stuff & donated every like quarter. My brother was also v autistic so it’s not like it was easy.

People having differing ideas about whether it’s rude or helpful to provide party guests with unsolicited suggestions for gifts to give their children isn’t too surprising to me, but what is both surprising and disturbing to see is the number of moms who are harboring resentment toward friends and family members for giving gifts to their children that don’t measure up to their personal preferences. Big yikes. To borrow some language from the KJV: My sisters, these things ought not so to be.
