Please make this make sense. My daily, life-saving medicine, Evrysdi, that slows/stops my terminal disability, SMA, is only covered for 24 days every 27 days by Medicaid. That's right, they intentionally make me miss three doses per month to save money on saving my life.

18 months. That's how long I've been trapped in the same room with the same walls surrounding my hospital bed. With my main caretaker taking a nasty fall, and the current state of nursing making it easier to find a unicorn, literally getting out of bed became a nearly impossible task.
That finally ended with feeling the sun on my face & the breeze through my hair. I can't even explain the sensation to you. It's truly freedom. It's peace.
In case no one has told you lately, the hard times always pass, even when it feels like they never will. Don't give up. Things are turning around for me. I believe they will for you, too. Just hang on.
