@SyedAHussain15 @MoeedNj Could Pak establishment openly stand against USA interests in the region? If it is so, i will be pleasantly surprised.

Dr. Sahib, your dot-connecting is off.
The emerging axis is not what you suggest—it is China–Iran–Saudi Arabia–Pakistan.
Your own reference to the PAF footprint in eastern Saudi Arabia points directly to that alignment.
Reframe the lens.
Islamabad was not a neutral venue—it was a setup.
And it is difficult to see it as anything other than one shaped under Chinese shadow.
Let’s also call things by their proper names:
The Pakistan–Saudi military arrangement is not strategic altruism—it is transactional, entrenched, and mercenary at its core.
What is particularly indefensible is the attempt to dress this up as a long-standing “security framework” meant to protect Pakistani workers in the Kingdom.
That argument collapses under even minimal scrutiny.
It is not just weak—it is misleading.
Recall when Imran Khan asked Mohammed bin Salman to take care of Pakistani workers—and the response he received.
That moment stripped away the façade.

Pakistan Air Force reaching Eastern Saudi Arabia at a time when Pakistan is marketing itself as an honest broker between the US & Iran is a very bad optic. In the first instance, the “Mutual Defense Pact” between Pakistan & Saudia (Sept, 2025) is a ridiculous misnomer for a mercenary relationship where Saudis can only pay for Pakistan’s services through deferred oil payments, credit facilities & permitting expatriate remittances etc. This neatly fits in the pattern of mercenary relationship feuding European princely states exhibited in the period before the 18th century rise of nation states..Pakistan’s only defense challenge lies in its East with India and in case of a conflict the only help Saudis can extend is “Good Will” or the kind of mediation, Pakistan is offering to Iran which in reality is “Helping President Trump”..Saudis don’t even have the space to offend India when it comes to Pakistan..
Pakistan ~Saudi mercenary relationship demonstrates the extent to which Pakistan has lost its sovereignty because of its failing economy. Since nothing is working for economy, one can fear more and more shameless compromises in near future. Over the past few years, US led or influenced global institutions (IMF, World Bank, ADB, UK Aid, and EU’s GSP plus etc) have helped maintain a financial drip for Pakistan that has prevented a political meltdown but Pakistani regime is forced to give away more and more of its sovereignty & related resources without getting anything substantial for its economy and people. Majority of Pakistanis are becoming more and more poor, income inequality is increasing- but antics like the “Roman Games in Coliseum” continue like this “Islamabad Talks” - unless something substantial flows out for Iran, Pakistan and the region these talks will only be remembered as “Trump & Saudi Bail out” - Iran’s real need is lifting of Primary, Secondary & UN Sanctions and can make Nuclear related compromise in return; Pakistan benefits in a big way if Sanctions are lifted. Because Pakistan’s biggest problem that makes its exports uncompetitive is cost of energy. Iranian gas through IPI can give Pakistan breathing space & Iran provides a geographic corridor to Turkey and Europe - but Pakistani elite are busy as always in antics to please their masters and fooling people! PAF landing in Eastern Saudi Arabia and US Warships entering Straits of Hormuz (if without coordination with Iran’s military, as claimed by Barak Ravid in Axios) at a time when Iranian leaders are busy negotiating with the US Vice President, JD Vance, are not good signs - and raise very difficult questions! @tparsi @vali_nasr @RealScottRitter @BarakRavid

@FactCheckAsia There are many competent journalists in Pakistan but they are sidelined and kicked off by the state. Either they are under the earth or living an exiled life or jobless and living a low profile life due state policies.
English

Most Pakistani local journalists are not capable of handling international affairs. This is due to poor analytical capacity and no formal training. Their main topic was how PTI is defeated, how Imran Khan is irrelevant, what Imran Khan is thinking in Adiala, and how foreign policy is better now, etc. Imagine this is their mental level in such intense times and important peace negotiations. The only good news is they are still better than Indian media

Pakistan’s role in freedom struggle of Morocco 🇲🇦
In 1952 when Morocco was under French rule and they were fighting for their independence, Sultan Mohammed V of Morocco sent Ahmed Balafrej to US to address UN Security Council.
However, French delegates did not allow him to speak saying that because Morocco was a French protectorate therefore, Ahmed Bulferg being subject of France can’t speak at the UN forum.
At this humiliation of Ahmed Balafrej by the French, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Zafar Ullah Khan immediately got Pakistani embassy at New York opened at night and offered Ahmed Balafrej Pakistani nationality and issued him Pakistani Passport, due which on the next day he was able to address the UN Security council as Pakistani citizen in favour of Morocco. This gave great boost to the Moroccan independence movement internationally and back at home.
Finally when Morocco became independent in 1956, the Sultan Mohammed appointed Ahmed Balafrej as Prime Minister of Morocco and he used to hang his framed Pakistani Passport in his office and used to proudly tell all the visitors the role that passport played in the independence of Morocco.
