@SnackCakeTheOG @MetroidFREAK21 Strange, I haven't connected my PS3's, I have 3 of them, to the Internet for probably 10 years or more. I don't own a lot of Bluray, but I have some. I have an insane amount of DVD's. I can say one thing, I love the PS3 as a player, still use it in two rooms in my house.

I have to give Sony credit... Keeping the blu-ray key drive up to date on the PS3 nearly 20 years after the system's launch is absolutely commendable

the amount of hate on DLSS 5 is ridiculous especially coming from the decels and the gaming community. in fact, the whole gamer bubble is so anti-ai -- they don't even think about it, and their minds act like they're 12 years old "there is a texture with AI cancel the game" is very common so stop caring about gamers

Here's some of the DLSS 5 material we saw in the demos but didn't get a chance to film. Here I think you can see the strengths of DLSS 5 - reflections become much more attractive. Starfield doesn't have great lighting to begin with, so the differences can be profound.

@Tealeaf_Ownsya @oliemack It’s still a demo and it will improve (and change). I think that what’s most relevant is that this is possible at all.

@oliemack I still think it needs a lot for work. It seems to exaggerate everything. Shadows too dark (left of couch) or in some parts lights too bright (glassware on shelf). It also seems to confuse where the light sources are (2nd scene especially). Reflections on floor are nice

This is not how the artists intended their games to be played. Now future games will stop innovating character textures in the same realm because they just assume the player will be using this.

I think this video does a good job explaining the viewpoints of the team but I wanted to make sure it was clear that I wasn't feeling up to participate yet thus not in the video. I will share my own thoughts soon but my opinions largely mirror what Alex says in this video!
