Twitter is for fun. I don't take this too seriously. You shouldn't either

@johnsplaining @CaptainCons It's a pain in the ass to do in mini-golf. And it's absurd that they still have to do this in The Masters. It would be like the players at Wimbledon being forced to announce the score prior to serving and being disqualified if they got it wrong.

How about no? It’s part of the game. Not to mention adds to the mental aspect for players. You can probably avoid looking at a scoreboard. You can’t avoid writing your score each hole which plays into your psyche on the course It’s so much more than keeping score imo
fivepointsvids@FivePointsVids

Can we get rid of these archaic scorecard rules? It’s literally 2026. They can track the ball’s path and spin rate yet this dude has to fill out paperwork every hole. What are we doing.

@realDonJunk @CaptainCons You are encouraged to take multiple pencils or you can grab one at the end of the game and fill in your scores. But yes, recording your own score manually is a very nice feeling and is done from Ocean Putt to Augusta

@johnsplaining @CaptainCons So it's the same thing I'm getting at, say, Ocean Putt, in Cape May? Like, they don't have refillable pencils or something a little more sophisticated? What if the tip gets worn during play?

@johnsplaining @CaptainCons Do they use those mini-pencils like they have at putt-putt? Are they filled with lead instead of graphite to make them more traditional?

@johnsplaining @CaptainCons I'm not "offended" by it. I think people need to get over themselves about it. "Gentlemen" ... lol! Golfers ...

@realDonJunk @CaptainCons It's a gentleman's game - you call penalties on yourself. That's just the way the game is played. If it offends you, you don't have to watch. The Master's isn't for casuals.

You don't have to force your culture in other's. It's not her culture, you're not respecting her culture or her art. If she was at an Arabic wedding then she would be in the wrong. You're at her show - you should act as the 99% of her fans.

@poptime Ela não é obrigada a gostar de nada, porém depois de receber a informação de que era da cultura da pessoa, o mínimo que se espera é respeito.

@realDonJunk @CaptainCons You are the official - that’s part of being a competitor. You mark each others scores, you agree on rulings, and the “officials” are only there to guide you and ensure you don’t make a mistake

@johnsplaining @CaptainCons I'm *playing*. Why am I writing *anybody's* score down, ffs? This is a championship event. Where are the officials?

@LJS527 I highly recommend you play AL only fantasy baseball with some moderately sharp individuals if you believe this to be true. Then you see Josh Naylor getting paid $37m and bat .140

@ShaneRyanHere There's no real reason to imply 65 on Saturday at the Master's could be bad - just a bad headspace question - it was awful

No clue what Scottie was thinking here or why he responded this way beyond general disdain of media, but I've decided people's reactions to this are a great way to judge them. If you're mad about a reporter asking a simple, common question that players themselves talk about all the time (how good or bad their score could have been based on their assessment of their play), and sometimes generates an interesting observation or two, you're an idiot. Looking for the grievance weirdos going "CLICKBAIT QUESTION GOOD FOR SCOTTIE" to find the dimwits.
Flushing It@flushingitgolf

Reporter: “That was a 65 today. What did it feel like it could have or should have been?” Scottie Scheffler: “That's a terrible question. Next question. Awful.” 😂😂😂 @TheMasters

@AliceFromQueens why do you assume they'd "get away with it"? The raw materials and supplies would be very easy to track by purchase. Deliveries, shipping, credit cards, even crypto isn't THAT hard to track. It's not like 99% of young men naturally have drones.

I wonder how long it will be before the jilted young men who normally go to jail for murdering their lovers in a frenzy, will do it from a distance, by drone, and get away with it.
