Landed in India yesterday 1. Airport prepaid taxi said car is awaiting right outside. Paid 1700 rs for 7km ride. Car was not outside and a guy took us for to another block to fetch the vehicle 2. The guy who came to drop stopped the car after seating and asked for a tip 3. The driver who dropped us at Hotel asked for a tip 4. One of biggest brand hotel has intermittent wifi.. it doesn’t work 5. All India accounts blocked, ekyc otp cycle continues 6. Relationship manager says come to local branch, I am in another city. He basically wants to sell investment. It’s a never ending spiral. This is just 1 hour story after landing.

When you go to Japan and see their Prime Minister waiting for space to join the traffic and come back to India and see, a municipal corporator surrounded by dozens of people in many vehicles, definitely the heart pains. I've not given up on India. At the same time, as is my view, I'm not very bullish on India too. Not that we would not grow. We would chug along. For us to grow and aim to become developed nation, lot of change in complete mindset is required. Not sure whether we are capable for it as a nation.

@Dearme2_ To some extent yes and it gives us time to focus on areas like self acceptance, company you choose, health and clarity on goals, beliefs and values to be truly happy.

To be honest, does money guarantee happiness?

There is fundamental shift in private credit, investment required in gen robotics and space technology, healthcare transformation due to AI just to name a few. FIIs are diverting money on above themes which are much more lucrative. Combined with taxation policy in India and Rupee feefall FIIs will continue to exit. There needs to be urgent intervention by Indian authorised to launch programs which excited FIIs. Retail investors are most hit. 1991 scale financial transformation needed now looking at the future ahead in 5 to 10 years.

FIIs sold another billon dollar sold. Govt should increase tax on FIIs to 40-60% & end this forever.
