Few takeaways here from the 12 minute conversation:
Corporate blames a single, unauthorized franchise owner in Salem, Oregon, for entering into an illegal consignment agreement with customer Brian Mansel, completely behind corporate's back.
Forensic accounting allegedly uncovered three separate sets of records proving the former franchisee severely underpaid Mansel and hid the true extent of the sales.
While the viral internet claims threw around massive numbers, corporate claims real documentation puts the collection's actual value at a much lower $100,000.
Corporate claims they’ve repeatedly offered Mansel whatever left-over inventory they could find and have offered to cut a check to cover the financial gap left by the rogue owner, if he’ll just sit down with them.
They are aggressively pursuing a lawsuit against the YouTuber (Reckless Ben) and Mansel, claiming the entire viral narrative is a smear campaign built on "false statements".
