@Evilagram you have two options, no mask or mask. if 50% of people mask, covid all but disappears. how many people would have to die or be disabled for it to be worth it? why would you push blue but not mask during an ongoing pandemic?

the most interesting thing about the blue button vs red button debate is how it reveals how many people believe the red button option is a purely “safe” option and not the explicitely violent option, and i think that frames the israel / palestine conversation fairly well

@oncloud_e pushing a button requires no effort and nothing is really at stake so it is easy to be selfless. i’m pushing red because we’ve seen what happens when we ask people to mildly inconvenience themselves to protect others by masking

gotta be honest, my main issue with what she said was the apologism for cis men's part in transmisogyny, moreso than saying she doesn't like trans men. men of all kinds fucking suck. but saying trans men perpetuate transmisogyny in a worse way than cis men is pretty ridiculous.

i think what the blue lady said was wrong and transphobic. i also think that she's getting a lot more shit than is proportional specifically because she's a trans woman. i don't think these are contradictory beliefs like a lot of people seem to.
