@brewcitypaul Can't blame him for saying what he said. It's hilarous when fans expect a GM to lay out the cards for them in public. Maybe he could have chose a different way to say it but in the end, he's right to not tip his hand.

I respect the hell out of Eric Nehm for getting the interview from Horst and asking all the right questions But, Horst’s answers sound like ChatGPT talking to itself You don’t know what you’re going to do…and you don’t have to? Huh?

Bucks GM Jon Horst commented on Giannis Antetokounmpo's injury status for the first time today. "It has nothing to do with draft picks. It has nothing to do with tanking. It has everything to do with the health of the player." - Horst At @TheAthletic: nytimes.com/athletic/71796…

I asked Doc Rivers how much longer he envisions coaching as he prepares to enter the Hall of Fame. He replied, “I won’t answer that, but I have grandkids that I want to see. I’ll put it that way. I’ll let you figure it out from there. I have seven grandkids now and they’re all eight years and under, and it kills me every time I miss grandparents day with each one of them in school. It’s probably time to go see them more, so I’ll let you figure out the rest.”

THINGS PILOTS KNOW THAT PASSENGERS DON'T 1. Turbulence has never brought down a modern commercial aircraft. 2. The safest seats on a plane are toward the rear. 3. Cabin air is cleaner than the air in most office buildings. 4. Pilots are legally required to eat different meals in case of food poisoning. 5. Most flights carry more fuel than officially needed fear of fuel shortage is never real. 6. Autopilot flies more than 90% of every flight, but pilots are always monitoring. 7. Lightning strikes planes regularly,it's designed for it. 8. The brace position actually works. It's not a myth. 9. Phones in airplane mode don't affect navigation,it's a network congestion rule, not a safety one. 10. Dawn and dusk are statistically the safest times to fly. 11. The crew dims cabin lights before landing at night so your eyes adjust immediately in case of evacuation not for atmosphere.

Unless it’s a Brad Stevens situation where the person is actually the GM now it seems like most of the time “moved to a front office advisory role” is the coach version of “went to a farm upstate”
Robert Habich@rwhabich

@TiWindisch If Doc goes to the front office, can he still pretend he doesn’t know what’s going on with Giannis?

Less than a year ago, the Air Force unveiled a new PT test with a two mile run. Airmen took to social media to complain how the new increased length would cause injuries. This weekend, an Air Force Colonel, more than likely in their mid to late 40s, ran 5 miles up a mountain to escape the enemy. Running matters. You should do more of it.

@nathanmarzion Also consider Lillards experience moving away from the one team and city he really knew. Basketball aside, it was a disaster for him personally. You could tell he just wasn't happy. The grass isn't always greener.

Ding. Ding. Ding. It’s not the top kids that this system will fail. It’s the kids who make $500k and then $600k. They graduate, their careers sputter out and then go to get an office job and make $75k. What are they going to do then. The ncaa won’t care…

Why do gas stations still do the 9/10ths thing? Are there really people who don’t think $3.99 and 9/10 isn’t $4. Just make it $4 and cut the shit already.

The rescue of the second pilot gets so much more interesting when you realize he walked 110 miles in a single day to get to his location from crash sight and other pilot.

There’s growing anticipation that this could be Doc Rivers’ last year as head coach of the Bucks, and Taylor Jenkins has emerged as a potential candidate, per @TheSteinLine “Also growing is an anticipation that Bucks coach Doc Rivers and the franchise could be heading for some sort of parting or job restructuring after such a trying 2025-26 campaign…Former Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins, who worked for a season as a Bucks assistant to Mike Budenholzer in 2018-19 before Memphis gave him his head coaching shot, has already emerged as a likely prime candidate in Brewtown if the Bucks indeed end up launching a coaching search.” (Via substack.com/redirect/2/eyJ…)
