How are people still tricked by this god stuff in 2026? I get it in 1026 when your entire world was a square mile in size. We see 13 billion light years in to the universe now and have science and technology. I don’t get it.

I've taught Chinese students for 20 years, lived in Beijing from 2004-2017 and watched the rise of China with my own eyes (cough cough, the pollution was/is terrible) but they are leading the world in producing affordable EVs, part of their energy and air quality solution. Planned for the energy needs of AI 10 years ago, their data centers all get power from Mongolia where the have wind farms, and from the nearby Gobi desert where they have solar farms. Plus, their AI uses 50% less electricity than ours (long story). China is not the third world "shit hole" most Americans believe it to be. China is THE stabilizing force in the ME right now, and it is an ally of Iran, that has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with how they structure their oil dependency (75% imported). Since the fiasco in Tibet, China has not played offense anywhere. They know war is a waste of money, and have built a navy to be reckoned with as a counter-measure, and have 2 battleships parked outside the straight and have been there since the middle of Feb. If China decided to move one of the battleships near the coast of Isreal, I bet the bombing of Iran would stop overnight, without ever firing a shot. This could be Xi's moment to step onto the world stage as the "adult in the room" over this fiasco. They are not going to let their economy tank because we have a mad man in the WH and a genocidal maniac running Isreal. Their patience is not infinate.
