@JohnRad15 This is why a benevolent State will make sure all have equal access, and the increases in land values are used to fund public services. The Singaporean gov bought up most of the nation's land, but land taxes also work for this end.

Capitalism is not voluntary. The force is hidden in the land control. Landless people must sell labor to make enough to pay rent or mortgage, to not be homeless. This is the forcing that keeps wages low. That's why they row row row your boat.

You are straw manning the argument that is pointing out the straw man in the original meme. This argument. Capitalism - The boat needs rowers so they are paid from the payment received by the guests on top. Voluntary exchange of value. No force. Communism - The boat needs rowers, so those that can will be forced to row. Those on deck are the Elite's, The Politicians. Benefitting from the stolen and forced labour of the masses. Slavery at its core is being able to benefit from the forced labour of others or being forced to use your labour for the benefit of others. Communism creates a form of economic slavery where a small few benefit from the stolen labour of millions. Slavery in itself is not just found under communism but communism always creates economic slavery, starvation and death.

Everyone keeps saying “go into the trades.”
I get it — but here’s my real experience:
Called a local company to fix an icemaker on a 2007 fridge that still runs great.
Tech shows up. Takes a picture. Can’t fix it.
Charges $99 just for showing up.
Then quotes me $1,300 to replace the icemaker.
So I do what everyone can do now:
I ChatGPT the model number.
In 2 seconds:
• Exact replacement part
• Direct phone number
• Cost: $300 Installation?
2 screws. 10 minutes.
I’ll do it myself.
Same thing happened with my pool heater: Repair guy quoted $2,000. I bought the part directly and fixed it myself for under $200.
The problem isn’t the trades.
It’s that information asymmetry is gone — and some businesses haven’t realized it yet.

Basically immediately because under socialist/communist theory the concept of a bosses "profits" are secured only by paying their workers less than the value they produced. You could delete boss and profit, then lower prices and have cheaper burgers for everyone
