On a day for the history books, @TheAmandaGorman delivered a poem that more than met the moment. Young people like her are proof that "there is always light, if only we're brave enough to see it; if only we're brave enough to be it."

“Camp A adhered to...Georgia’s Executive Order that allowed overnight camps to operate beginning on May 31.” #COVID19 doesn’t care about politics or executive orders. Attack rate was 44% 77% of those tested were positive. @CDCMMWR cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/6…

Social distancing is important to minimize the impact the pandemic will have on our country’s health and economy. Everyone has to do their part and sacrifice in some way. Please do your part. cnn.com/videos/tv/2020… @RachelPatzerPhD

My spouse is a physician in the emergency dept, and is actively treating #coronavirus patients. We just made the difficult decision for him to isolate & move into our garage apartment for the foreseeable future as he continues to treat patients. (1/5)

@cyber_wolf35 @ServiceTezzla @rocket_jenross Also consider the burden of disease (organ demand) and health of population and organs. Cold ischemic time isn’t the only factor and varies across US. #OPTN tries to distribute organs across states, regions, and US to help improve access. Supply is not an issue for living donor.

@ServiceTezzla @rocket_jenross I believe that freshness is a primary consideration with organs, I would suspect that if a state had an abnormally high harvest rate due to anything that it'll have a high rate of people getting organs

@rocket_jenross @ServiceTezzla Organ supply is one factor associated with deceased donor transplant. Supply is not a factor for getting waitlisted or a living donor transplant-outcomes that patients in for-profit facilities were less likely to have. Profit status disparity was across all US regions (SupplemT).

@HCSRN @aboutKP @JAMA_current @KPGeorgia @Kidney_Research Thank you for sharing this important work. This problem has persisted for too long. For-profit facilities treat 87% of dialysis patients and comprehensive policy reform could pave the way for more patients to access kidney transplant.
