@Pirat_Nation She actually looks more like Voldemort than him hahaha
English

Ralph Fiennes has given his approval to the idea of a gender-swapped Lord Voldemort, with Tilda Swinton taking on the role in HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series.
The actor, who originally played Voldemort in the film franchise, said Swinton would be “amazing” and “fantastic” in the role, while adding that for his own return, “that ship has sailed.”

@SXR123 "Sean didn't have to give players free update after free update"
Why not? Let the gaming community heal so others follow. Paid full price game want full experience
English

I don't think we'll ever see another game release like No Man's Sky.
I don't just mean the game itself, I mean the disastrous first launch which was basically a glorified space flight simulator, to the full and completely realized game it's become.
Look at the game at launch vs what it is now. All of this via free updates because Sean Murray and his team wanted to deliver on what they promised and more.
Sean didn't have to give players free update after free update. Especially the last few, he could have marked those as DLC and people absolutely would have paid, hence the "No Sean, I have money!" meme.
No Man's Sky had a rough launch due to unfortunate timing and circumstances and became one of gaming's biggest redemption stories. We'll never see a game release horrifically at launch, stick around in spite of it, release FREE updates instead of DLC's to recoup lost revenue and become so drastically different that launch vs current are almost entirely different games.

A senior engineer created a fake junior dev to test hiring advice.
The profile had:
- good portfolio
- active GitHub
- senior-level projects
- even faked YOE
He ran the experiment in the Netherlands, a country known for its developer shortage.
Applied to 36 jobs and didn’t get a single interview.
getting interviews feels harder than the actual job rn

@GameOverThirty Not sure if it really pays off with the current state of UE5 optimization. Super nice graphics, yeah, but at what cost? If the game runs like shit, is it really that cost-saving?
English

There was a time period when the "AA" game likely meant taking sacrifices on visuals to get something out the door at a lower cost.
Games like Samson, and Robocop, have shown that simply isn't true anymore. UE5, despite the performance criticism, has enabled these kind of visuals for games with a reduced budget.

Don’t Not are honestly such a cool developer.
They could’ve easily stuck with the Life Is Strange style and profited, but they’ve been continuously pivoting and trying new things which, for the most part, are all super enjoyable to play.

I’ve been playing Vampyr for first time. The amount of shock and anxiety I had with this reveal oh my god man. I am craving for more vampire games now. Such an intense story wth

A lot of criticism towards LTT for this over the price, but as usual not looking at the whole picture just the pricetag.
For a channel/company of that size this is simply an investment for content. Even if they turn around and sell it later at a loss the income generated by videos featuring it will more than likely make up for that. No different than any other tech product they might use for a video aside from the amount of money needed to do it.
Automotive channels in particular do this sort of thing all the time, spending ludicrous amounts on supercars or custom builds. Not only can they often be treated as business expenses for tax purposes but they make money off featuring them in videos justifying the cost.
The viral marketing value alone for LTT from this is also a factor. No doubt you'll see a bunch more posts talking about it along with videos and news articles which are all essentially "free" advertising for their content. Me purchasing a tank or other military vehicle to feature in content would be a comparable (if much less expensive) thing to this for my own channel

@ConjureCreature (the moles all died because they tunnels flooded too)

Our neighbors kept trying to kill their moles but we didnt. So they all moved into our yard. That year flooded really, really bad (we were on a waterway) but not our house! Not our yard. Thanks moles!

Please don't kill moles, let them do their valuable work. 💟

My Crimson Desert updates wishlist:
1 - An option to change camera height to be much closer, similar to RDR2. And allowing us to customize combat/exploration cameras separately. This is my biggest request
2 - When placing plates/power sources in puzzles that involve the grapple, you shouldn’t need to force palm them into the slots, its incredibly janky and not satisfying. They should just slot in
3 - Revert new horse movement from latest update or give an option to do that as we can no longer time X presses to the stamina, allowing an infinite gallop like Red Dead if timed correctly
4 - Auto-hide helmet option in cutscenes
5 - More hairstyles and beards, Why no braided beards for a Viking protagonist?
6 - Ability to add a storage box the player home
7 - More gear for Damiane/Oongka, they are far too rare.
8 - Make double jumps and toggle flight separate buttons or actions, like hold for flight and press for double. Too inconsistent right now
9 - Add a “simplified” control option that instead of button combinations, puts everything under one button which opens a wheel of different actions (Think how TOTK has its different abilities all under L1)
10 - Simplify Chapters 1-2-3 by making their most fetch quest tasks to be side quests rather than main quests
I think thats everything I got right now, what would you guys like to see changed? At the rate Pearl Abyss is responding to feedback, its likely most of these are addressed in less than a month from now!

English

@Pirat_Nation Good. The operating system is full of bugs and works quite bad. AI slop is everywhere and no one wants it. They should focus in stable and efficient performance and let all AI stuff be behind a toggle

Microsoft's stock closed out one of its worst calendar quarters in recent history, losing roughly 23-25% of its value in the first three months of 2026.
Microsoft lost almost a quarter of its value in the first three months of the year, its steepest quarterly drop since the 2008 financial crisis.

Zuckerberg's yacht once sailed 9,600 nautical miles, burned 676,800 liters of diesel, and waited two months in the South Pacific for him to show up.
He never came. It turned around and went home.
The vessel burns 1,165 gallons of diesel per hour at cruising speed. The carbon output of 630 cars running simultaneously. In nine months, it produced 5,300 tons of CO2, what 400 American households emit in an entire year.
Meta's sustainability report pledges net zero across their value chain by 2030. Zuckerberg's personal fleet (there's a $30 million support vessel that follows the yacht everywhere carrying submarines, helicopters, and water toys) produced more emissions on that single empty round trip than most people will generate in a lifetime.
The fuel tank holds 423,700 liters. A full fill costs about $230,000. Based on his 2024 wealth increase, Zuckerberg earns that in under 90 seconds.
Net zero is a line item in someone else's budget. It always was.

There is now a RenoDX HDR mod for Crimson Desert on PC 👍
I recommend all PC gamers to use it (PS5 gamers should read my quick setup guide).
HDR now looks so beautiful and natural 👍👍👍
You can get it from this link. Follow the install instructions in the link.
github.com/clshortfuse/re…
As I understand it, it especially improves the HDR tone mapping. I’m no modder or developer, so I will not pretend to know or understand all it fixes. I will below link to a post that explains the fundamental issues the mod fixes.
The great thing about RenoDX is also that it gives us the ability to make fine adjustments to HDR including a better setting, then the games exposure setting, to setup game brightness.
It also gives us the ability to turn off chromatic aberration. Its a lens distortion effect that blurs textures, so turn it off.
The most important settings to adjust is peak brightness and game brightness.
Peak brightness:
Peak brightness is to be set to what your TV/monitor can do on a 10% window.
Game brightness (paper white):
Game brightness I recommend to set to 203 nits for a 1000 nits display. If you have a TV or monitor less capable then that, then set to 180-203 nits. Set to what looks most natural to you.
For TVs that can output significantly more than 1000 nits, I recommend increasing game brightness. Theoretically a 1500 nits TV has to set to 267 nits and a 2000 nits to 343 nits, according to the HLG guidelines. But only use those guidelines as a starting point. Set to what looks most natural to you.
I typically found myself adjusting lower when using RenoDX. How low depends on the game. If you are gaming in a bright room then you might even want to increase it further.
I so far have settled for 300 nits. Gamers using a 1500 nits TV might settle for 250-267 nits, I expect.
