This straw poll was done before the last Lakers-OKC game, with Luka just winning another POM after a historic month. And nothing's he's done affected the vote at all. This clearly proves that it doesn't matter what he does on the court. He'll never win an MVP with these voters.

@BboyLooseFit @Kanesburner @thundercudi OKC had 64 points in the paint. This game was over in the 1st quarter. The discrepancy is more due to the fact OKC didn’t need to drive into contact bc of the lead. LA needed contact bc they couldn’t make anything. OKC out scored LA in the paint as well.

Luka is getting doubled all game, and picked up full court. This is where role players need to step up and make some shots, but nothing goes in. Meanwhile OKC role players are making almost every 3. This is why Luka should be MVP for dragging this roster to the 3rd seed.

@Sp3ctr77 @PranavSriraman Lakers defensive plan was to pack paint & force supporting cast beat them. SGA found the open man or made the right pass & oKC knocked down open shots. 90% of NBA players can make those open shots when it feels like practice bc no pressure from defense.

That genuinely might be the ass-beating of the season. Lakers are just completely physically and athletically overwhelmed on both ends by OKC. They eat Luka alive. He’s averaged 15.5 PPG with 5.0 TOVs on 43.4% TS with a -56 +- in two games vs. OKC this year. Real numbers. Yeesh.
