DP World Chairman Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem told @dubaitv: Somalia has no relevance to this agreement. #Somaliland has been independent, democratic, and stable for nearly four decades. The project was approved by #Somaliland’s parliament, and Somalia holds no authority over it.

How many times can Somalia cancel the same DP World deal? 2018: “null and void.” Somaliland: builds anyway. 2026: Africa’s fastest-growing port. The cancellation expires. The port doesn’t.

The bombing and destruction of Somaliland’s cities in 1988 were carried out by government troops and mercenary pilots acting under Somali government authority. 38 years later, the #Muqdishogovernment is once again calling on foreign governments to bomb the people of #Somaliland.

Somalia’s Defence Minister @AhmedMoFiqi urges Saudi Arabia to bombard Somaliland, echoing the very carpet-bombing of our cities by Somalia in 1988. Yet the same Fiqi proceeds to multilateral forums, persistently claiming Somalilanders as “his people.” 🇸🇴 is a terrorist state.

BREAKING :#Somalia President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud delivered a televised address accusing Israel of “military expansionism” in the Horn of Africa, land-grabbing, genocide, and the displacement of Palestinians—calling @IsraeliPM Benjamin @netanyahu a “wanted fugitive.” Hassan questioned the right of the Jewish state to exist at all, claiming the land belongs to “#Palestine,” and portrayed Israel as a “genocidal state,” a deliberate and calculated attempt to delegitimise it. The speech came hours before a delegation of the Communist Party of China arrived in Mogadishu. Hassan claimed Somalia, with Arab states and Turkey, will “drive Israel out of the HoA.”
