I got hit on maybe in the politest way ever at the splash pad today. Good ole kentuckian was there with his daughter and asked me in a thick southern accent if I was from the area, when I said we were staying in a hotel nearby he asked about my boyfriend and I said “husband, actually!” He nodded solemnly, finished the conversation without cutting it short rudely, went back to his chair and didn’t bother me again. His daughter was very sweet, I’m going to pray he finds a nice lady to settle down with. Times are weird when I’m impressed by how well a man handles rejection in public!
