Danish prime minister Mette Frederiksen says she's grateful for the support European allies have shown over Greenland.
Speaking to reporters in Brussels, she says 'the results will show' when Europe is 'not divided' and 'clear and strong'.

Greenland is not in Europe; it’s in the Western Hemisphere.
America has made it clear for over 200 years that we are in charge of what happens in this hemisphere.
Some people need to wake up and face the reality of what’s actually going on.
Ultimately, this will benefit Greenland, much like Alaska benefited after becoming part of the United States.
@DefiantLs In Europe we absolutely have free speech, just not free insult. Speech is free 'til I don't hurt others' freedom. Undressing women and children via IA is definitely not freedom of speech, but I guess JD Vance, Elon Musk and their orange overlord might not reckon this way...
@jurgen_nauditt "I don't think European troops in Greenland will influence Trump's decision-making process or his goal of acquiring Greenland" ...So, you're admitting he's a certified moron?
The spoiled child still wants his toy.
The president has made his priorities quite clear: He wants the US to acquire Greenland. He believes this is best for our national security – White House.
"I don't think European troops in Greenland will influence Trump's decision-making process or his goal of acquiring Greenland," Levitt added.
Meanwhile, NATO allies have agreed to send about 35 troops from various countries to the Arctic island. Of course, this isn't a contingent for physical protection, but rather a political signal – to demonstrate the alliance's unity in the face of the threat.
@GittiboiJosh@EricLDaugh It means he has dementia and he doesn't belong in the White House. He's dangerous for his allies, his own people and ultimately the world
🚨 BREAKING: President Trump PUMMELS Fake News reporter in the Oval Office
"You'd potentially acquire Greenland by force."
TRUMP: You're saying that.
"Are you saying that?"
TRUMP: No, YOU'RE saying that. You're telling ME. You DON'T KNOW what I'm gonna do. Your NETWORK doesn't know either!
He never loses🤣🤣🔥
@BlackDumpling@AndrewB_UK@JimFergusonUK Europe is very concerned with US ability to protect. We're allies. We back each others since the end of WWII. That's why a military take over is a shit idea. US could have a dozen bases and thousand of troops. That's not what Trump wants: Rare Earths is the issue here
Not at all. Which is why I'm not asking or expecting anyone to be alright with us taking Greenland.
What I expect is for them to understand that it's not being done because we just feel kike ruining their day. It's not even being done because we want more land.
It's being done because it's a massive gaping hole in our ability to defend ourselves.
I understand you're not overly concerned with Americans dying, but we are.
🚨 TRUMP DRAWS A RED LINE OVER GREENLAND
President Donald Trump just sent a chilling message to Europe.
When Greenland’s premier said the island wants to remain with Denmark, Trump didn’t soften it.
He flatly replied:
“That’s their problem. I disagree. That’s going to be a big problem for him.”
This wasn’t a gaffe.
This was a strategic warning.
Greenland is no longer a remote Arctic outpost — it is now one of the most important pieces of territory on Earth.
It sits on:
• the Arctic shipping routes
• the early-warning missile grid
• the rare-earth supply chain
• and the northern gateway to North America
Trump is telling the world something European leaders don’t want to admit:
If the United States does not secure Greenland’s future, someone else will — and that someone will not be friendly.
Russia is building Arctic bases.
China is buying Arctic ports.
Europe is divided and militarily weak.
Trump is applying raw power politics where others are still pretending this is just diplomacy.
This is not about Denmark.
This is not about symbolism.
This is about who controls the Arctic in the 21st century.
And right now, Trump is making it clear:
America is not stepping back.
@BHajdinjak@BowesChay You guys were spoiled for so long that we had to baby sit your defense. We are tired of paying for it. And thanks a lot for killing the Ukraine/Russia peace talks. What a great allies 🙄
At worst, I believe Trump would occupy Greenland and declare it US property. At best, I believe he will work a deal with Denmark to gain territorial rights and control over Greenland. If Denmark chooses to foolishly declare war over the first option, we’ll, enough said. Hopefully there will be a peaceful resolution to enhance Americas national security.
Let me ask my American friends for a moment. When Danes react with fear and genuinely believe that Trump is going to start a war with Denmark because he wants to “steal” Greenland, it honestly seems ridiculous to me.
From where I’m standing, this looks like a narrative whipped up by the media and reinforced by our government.
But feel free to enlighten me….what do you actually hear, see, and think over there?
@beast_lee1980@BGA_DK@urbanarson@GunterFehlinger The fact that you cannot tell the difference between a poor immigrant on a boat and an actual military invader is highly worrying, but then again you probably voted fot Trump, so the math works out
French General Nicolas Richoux: "Greenland is the red line. If the US invades, they stop being systemic adversaries, they become enemies.”
“If the US attacks Greenland, we must fight the USians.”

@HeadlineZooo@LauraBabcock Greenland will end up being part of the US. The big denial is a common theme with many people in a vast amount of scenarios. It is not that America WANTS Greenland. It is that it KNOWS that China and Russia WANT Greenland. So it MUST acquire it in some way.
“Denmark’s going to have to invoke Article 4. Europe’s going to have to say if they’ll stand up. My gut feeling is Canada will be on the ground in Greenland because Alberta will be the next target if Trump gets away with it!”

@MAGAMichelle45@RasmusJarlov You're gonna be the world's paria. Russia at least has allies. Screw NATO and you'll lose everything, from bases to trade partners.
Denmark will not hand over Greenland even if the USA threatens us with nuclear weapons.
I am not saying this to stump our chest and try to be tough. We are small and no match for the USA. We know that. But we are not doing it under any circumstances.
