@DrGusMcCrae Much better. They tell you you’ll never be happy without the church, you’ll be lost, damned, etc. Real abusive stuff. However, I found the opposite to be true and I encourage all with doubt to test that out for themselves.

@KingPepperJack I didn’t believe the Mormon prophet or BoM were divinely inspired. Now I know beyond a shadow of a doubt. Very abusive culture. Look no further than the Mormons replying to this AMA. They’re incredibly narcissistic, and I’m sure some of them are good people. I’m much happier now.

@ggbackpackers I did. Saw the whole thing at the open house event, then they made me do baptisms for the dead at 14. Very clean in there, temple workers wore all white. Crazy baptismal font on the backs of 12 oxen, infinity mirror room, great and spacious building. Made me really uncomfortable.

@spacetaxi Sounds real but can't really verify. The only local Mormon running was a judge and he was in the ward I attended. Ran before I could vote. Politics are discussed in church. I left when Mitt Romney ran for president. I never trusted the guy and it inspired introspection.

@absurdiumcom Thank you for the reply. Were you required to block vote? Mormon coworker said she gets a list from her ward of all Mormon candidates for local elections and the ward checks to make sure she voted.

@Crypt0_Facts In philosophy, there’s the Phenomenon (reality as your brain filters it) and the Noumenon (objective reality). We can never access the Noumenon. Assuming your subjective brain flawlessly perceives absolute "truth" requires immense faith. We all use faith, I just admit it.
