Let’s be clear- Rajya Sabha MP @CVShanmugamofl never made any derogatory remark about actress #Nayanthara. If one hears his speech carefully, he did not say he wants Nayanthara; he simply used an example …if someone wishes to be with a film actress like her, can a Chief Minister fulfill that wish? …to highlight the absurdity of empty political promises by MK Stalin. Perhaps his example to covey a valid point may have been wrong. His intentions aren’t. Twisting this into something else is dishonest. It’s unfortunate that the DMK and some sections of the media are blowing a simple political analogy out of proportion for headlines and TRPs. The focus instead should be on rising crime figures.
