Figma’s IPO is extra meaningful to me: it was my first angel check. When the Adobe deal fell through, my sense was @zoink and team would only accelerate toward this milestone.
Flashback: Dylan Field joined my LinkedIn data products team as an intern the summer before he went to Brown (most interns on the team were PhD students). My calendar was jammed, and Dylan wanted to learn, so we squeezed in 8am machine learning 101 whiteboard sessions. Dylan’s energy was contagious; everyone wanted to help with his project. He capped the internship with a demo that earned a standing ovation at the company all‑hands.
Watching him ring the bell this morning to applause took me right back to that room. A lot has changed in a decade, but one thing hasn’t: I’m still excited to see what he builds next! 👏🚀
