@hackaday Tasmota is even easier to get started with now that it's possible to buy devices flashed with it right out of the box, like these bulbs that I can't recommend highly enough: cloudfree.shop/product/cloudf… Plus a shoutout to the Tasmota-powered smart outlet from the same site ❤️

What's your favorite RGB smart bulb? A proper hacker-spec bulb - with IFTTT integration, no hub requirements, and great features like color fades and scheduling. Do you go for something off-the-shelf or do you have an open-source favorite?

@cerberusapp @hirenvasani Would you consider also releasing updates via a less restrictive third-party app store, to allow for automatic updates? Something like an F-Droid repo would be nice.

@SwiftKey @tamasys Plus it's Bing, which is a huge slap in the face on its own. There's a reason Bing still has under 10% global market share despite Microsoft's many attempts to push it on users who can't be bothered to change default settings. People don't want it.

@SwiftKey @tamasys The forum thread filled with users explaining all the ways this is a terrible idea was started while the search bar was still in beta. Basic common sense and a two-second glance makes it clear this change is incredibly awkward. It should have never made it out of beta.

@Microsoft bought @SwiftKey, which is why it uses Microsoft translate and Bing search. I really wish they'd let me turn off that search though. I love that toolbar and having half of it useless means I gotta swype every time I want to use an actually useful feature.

.@Comcast thinks 25/3 is more than enough speed for consumers. Meanwhile, I've been begging them for years to sell me internet with an upload speed better than their current 10mbps max. Calling 10/1 "broadband" in 2018 would be like calling a Moto RAZR a "smartphone".

December was my lowest month of home internet usage in 2017, with 4x less data usage than my highest month. If I'd taken the #MobileOnly challenge for all of December, my phone bill would have been over a thousand dollars. Mobile internet is NOT a replacement for home broadband.

@richgilberto @PolkCoSheriff Polk County's cars just say "Pride in Service." No mention of protecting, so they're happy to let people die because of some unpaid tickets.

@olesovhcom @OVH I can't believe I've been conditioned to use "90 minutes" and "suddenly" in a sentence about a network outage.

@olesovhcom @OVH What a coincidence! After 55+ hours of downtime, my IPs are suddenly routing traffic again just 90 minutes after taking my issue to Twitter.

@olesovhcom @OVH It's not just any network issue, either. It's a block of Failover IPs, whose entire purpose is to prevent exactly this situation.

@olesovhcom @OVH I handed over root access to my server 17 hours ago. No one has logged in yet. Looking into alternative hosting providers while I wait.

@olesovhcom My @ovh server has been suffering a network outage for over 48 hours. Support won't give me any details or an ETA. What gives?
